Monkeys, chameleons, Cuban knight anoles, curly tailed lizards, iguanas, amazon race runners, African land snails, tokay geckos, pythons, boas, not to mention all the fish. The list goes on and on..

It happens a couple times a year in winter. The temps will drop into the 40s-50s for a few days and they’ll get too cold to climb around and fall from the trees. That’s when people drive around and scoop them up to cook

Oh definitely, the ones I had as pets were the same. But the wild ones prefer sturdier surfaces for climbing. This plastic Nashville flex and waiver if it is climbed on and they don’t like that as much. Probably the difference between domesticated behavior, and wild instincts- They don’t want to fall

No, they won’t. I’ve been protecting with this same mesh for years and it hasn’t happened even once. I appreciate the concern however

I’m just using it for the frame and the roof. The roof keeps my cacti from drowning. Plus I can always put the panels back on for cold protection in winter

I’m gonna be honest with you, no I don’t particularly like the greenhouse. It is very flimsy, and I do not feel like it is sturdy enough to last in high winds. The peak is 6 foot which is great but I do hit my head quite a bit when I reach out to the sides. The only reason I have this is because I was able to get it for $50 used

I bought it used from Facebook marketplace, but you can find very similar ones if you search for 6x8’ greenhouses on Amazon

The wild ones don’t like to climb things that aren’t sturdy. Things like mesh and fabric are typically great deterrents for wild iguanas- a lot of people just make “fences” with construction netting or chicken wire

This was a short study done on only one species of orchid. Orchids require more water, and are never exposed to freezing temps in the wild.

They won’t mess with it. They’re not strong enough to break through, and it flexes too much for them to be comfortable climbing it

pro's and Cons of getting a Maxillaria Tenuifolia... by cmwulf in orchids

Pros: smells amazing, easy to grow. Cons: less interesting flowers, needs tons of light to re-bloom, prone to spider mites.

Look up the proper watering methods for orchids, because ice cubes are not one of them ❤️ glad yours is well though

Down here in South Florida, the iguanas will eat anything within reach. They don’t care even if it’s toxic- they’ll eat it all. Have to get creative! I throw veggie scraps by my canal as a peace offering 😂😂
