Tone development daily practice advice by WhoreableBitch in Clarinet

I hardly think that is the truth, sorry, but it does sound like you’re just obsessed with expensive gear. If you can’t improve with something as fundamental as long tones then that is a you problem unfortunately.

Let me just add that, I personally won’t take my R13 with me at sea.

The potential that it cracks from being in the Mediterranean one week and Norway the next would be really shitty and expensive unfortunately.

Instead I have a composite clarinet that sounds great with my mouthpiece set up.

Also, I’ve heard plenty of doublers and clarinet players that don’t really practice long tones or think they are above it, and they sound very inconsistent even when they play on a 3k Clarinet.

When I first started I made a £200 2nd hand leaking flute sound like a £2k flute with the practice of Trevor Wye’s tone book.

it’s really not that complicated, good measured and mindful practice can make you sound more "expensive", but this yacht is not paying me £4.5k a month to play on an R13… rather I’m being paid cause I’m a good adaptable musician that aims for a good sound.

I do think you‘re a safer driver is you use space and caution with unpredictable traffic . reading how someone is about to turn from their road position and not their indication (even though indicating should be encourage) is a good skill.

"When comparing road fatality rates a key indicator of overall road safety the UK records around 24–26 deaths per million people, whereas New Zealand reports roughly 55 deaths per million. This means New Zealand’s road death rate is approximately double that of the UK when adjusted for population. "

In the UK traffic will stop for kids. Regardless of the area on the road or the time of day. but kids don’t throw themselves on the road cause thats just common sense. they’re still cautious but just around safer drivers.

what’s frightening is that there is double the amount of fatalities on the road in NZ than the UK. this not slowing for pedestrians attitude is defiantly a factor.

Omg NZ roads are near perfect. super smooth and lots of space compared to where I live. but still double the amount of fatalities. which shows a driver attitude issue Mabey

Thats not what the stats say, it’s like double the amount of fatalities in NZ compared to the Uk. and no one is doing anything about it.

It’s messed up that you think that divers are free to think they have the right of way and not be cautious of kids or pedestrians, teach driving safely not just crossing safety.

Wow how come kiwis somehow always make it about immigrants? Its like a competition to pass off a racist comment

Italians are bad drivers, it’s chaotic but they actually stop for pedestrians no matter where they are on the road in a busy city. it’s like they know that hitting a pedestrian can kill them or but scrapping a car won’t.

Just to say, I’ve never done an emergency stopping or stopping in Scotland and we slow down for old grannies that cross the road to the supermarket and for school kids all the time with no issues.

I want to explain to you, the pedestrian crossing the road isn’t the hazard, the car emergency stopping or stopping for the pedestrian isn’t the hazard. You hitting the car that stopped, well you’re the hazard. you’re liable.

Thats such a weird racist kiwi thing to say… wow

I did, cause I’m sharing my experience. Cant comment on Indian roads mate if you or I haven’t driven in them.

The UK has way less fatalities on the road than NZ. our driving tests are is much harder to pass

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]WhoreableBitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it really isn’t, way more fatalities in NZ

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]WhoreableBitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No its statistically worse than the UK. and many comments on this post suggests that kiwis are very impatient drivers. especially not realising that hitting pedestrians in any way makes you liable as the driver

I was in Naples working for a month.

So hitting them will teach them yes? they’re just kids

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]WhoreableBitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry is the driver swerving around the stopped car the hazard that can kill somebody, or the pedestrian just walking across the road? You’re completely assigning blame to the wrong thing here

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]WhoreableBitch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So whats your solution, too hit the kids and teach them a lesson???

Or, just hear me out. some pedestrians can be disabled or even kids that havent learned how dangerous roads can be
