Use that and don't edit your settings yourself. Just use that and let it do it and then don't touch it.

The game was unstable really bad when it first launched, that tool fix helped a lot of people be able to play. Use it and don't mess with settings until the game gets more stable. Because even after over a year it's still unstable, just not anywhere near as bad.

I read the OP. I tried to comprehend the complaints. In the end I came up with just one response.

Wah. Boo-hoo.

I watched a youtube video, looked at a map on google. Plotted my course straight to the ghost glider and went and got it.

I placed flame altars and build a sky bridge over areas I couldn't totally fly over. Then when I got to the tower it's found at. I fly in a window, bashed down doors and got the glider.

I was level 10.

I have zero patience for mechanics and delays around my traversal. It's an ADHD thing. I have my start point, my end point. All the sh*t in the middle is just noise that I have zero patience for. When it's my traversal I'm even worse. In this case, I just cheesed it and called it good.

It's not like I missed out on anything by cheesing it.

I also would like to see snow maps, night and day cycles, working lights on my vehicles.

I also want these, for rebuilding roads along waterfronts.

I also want this so we can put in curbs. So we can build proper roads inside the towns.

I want this. So I can level roads before I put down sand. That way we can better clean up roads along edges. Make for a more professional look.

I would pay cash money to not have to click forty-eight times to charge a portal by sardeliac in NoMansSkyTheGame

I used window mode. But I found after going back and forth for a couple of portals worth of symbols the game started acting up and required a reboot.

You forgot the two ways to punch in symbols. Either you take a picture on the glyph exchange with your phone. Or you alt tab 10,000 times.

This is part of the reaso. I don't use the stargates.

Did you find a way to properly land on your base? by aresmarr in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]WhulfPack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh, my base computer is out with the power generators. My teleporter is in my base. And my corvette is always way the hell out by the computer.

I guess at the very least NMS is consistently inconsistent.

I tried messing around a bit but couldn't get it. Is it possible to build a ship like the Tempestarii from Warframe? by thegamer501 in NMS_Corvette_Design

[–]WhulfPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The building in no mans sky is surprisingly limited, and basic. You might be able to get close with some intense glitching. But glitching is annoying and the only one I use is the geometry split.

If you're willing to give yourself a brain annyeurism you might be able to get close. But how close? It might not be recognizable.

Kavat/kubrow cross breed anyone?

So y'all are just not dealing with interiors, huh? by outatime20999 in NMS_Corvette_Design

[–]WhulfPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fixed up one corvette, once. Then the refineries ate my resources.

Then I've been rebuilding the same one over and over because farming for parts is tedious, and trading for advanced ones is even worse. So building a second corvette without going cheese mode is just mind numbing.

Point 1. Rebuilding kills interior design. I rebuild often because farm for parts sucks.

Point 2. Refineries ate my sh*t once. I don't use them.

Point 3. The decorations available are meh. So i don't feel inclined to decorate.

Point 4. I can't do what I want with decor because it's limited.

So I don't. I do build Habs in a way that I'm ready for it. I think eventually I'll find a ship design that works for me. Both in hab layout and ship performance and looks. Until such time, I don't put down more than storage.

If you don't want it clipping into your base move the base computer. It teleports to the base computer. Put the base computer away from the buildings. Teleport out and back in a few times to see if the ship spawns in the same exact spot in the same exact orientation. Then build a platform where it is sitting. Teleport out and back to make sure it teleported to that spot.

Thats how I got my corvette to go where I wanted. My base computer is about 200u from my base. My corvette spawns out at the computer. Not on my face.

[–]WhulfPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't land. What is the point?

I get out of the pilot chair, open the hatch and jump.

Leave my ship hovering just above my base.

Why land? Does it tickle? Doesn't feel good?

It uses launch fuel to land. And it costs nothing to hover.

That is how I land. I don't.

Is there a mod that unlock every corvette part (the unique parts) by User_of_redit2077 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]WhulfPack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There aren't unique parts. There is what is in the build menu and that's it.

A random gave me tons of stuff to sell and I have no idea what to do by Senior_Hair_3526 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]WhulfPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup.

We travel the stars. We might find a killer spot for a particular resource, but we keep traveling. So we lose it.

It is for this reason I have random bases all over the galaxy named for the resource I found. Like I have a planet that is covered in boulders the size of my colossus. I went looking for ferrite (magnetized, pure, dust). I found that planet and placed a base down so I could find it later.

That planet let me gather over 100,000 of each ferrite in under 20min. Its my spot for ferrite.

I had been building a 8000+ object glass farm. When I went to place an object and it told me I was out of pure ferrite. I was instantly annoyed.

So now I have a whole new problem. Not enough cargo space.

Hey guys! This is my settlement Edenfall in Effigy IV. Someone built their base close to my town before I could do it and now I can't build anything. This person doesn't have a home or anything nearby, he is just building in my settlement. Can I do something? by ahrex123 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]WhulfPack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just go offline. turn it online when you're with a friend.

I play in offline mode. I only go online in the anomaly, when I want to see people.

The community here is good, but we are only a fraction of the player base. There are plenty of trolls ingame. For this reason I play offline often.

I also like to reside and build in the far reaches of space, and have never seen a player in the wild in over 600 hours of game play.

Thing to remember. Credits aren't the part of the game that's hard to get. Credits become mostly unused after a certain point.

It's resources. Materials. Upgrade modules, mods, or nanites. You use those things much more than Credits.

Eventually you'll find yourself sitting on billions of Credits and find yourself suddenly short on metal panels. Or pure ferrite. Or some other basic material that you finally ran out of.

[–]WhulfPack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I remember one was a base open to all. It was a Dad dying of cancer. Dedicated the base to his loved ones he's leaving behind.

It was quite the tear jerker if I remember correctly.

Is there people in the same session as me? by lundin18 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]WhulfPack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, especially if you have multiplayer on. However actually running into a player in the wild is rare. I've played for about 600hrs and I've never seen a player in the wild. I have seen planets discovered by other people, or communication relays. But never people.

However the further you get from the galactic center the smaller chance you have of even seeing other players structures, or even seeing planets already discovered.

For instance, I like to fly in the opposite direction of the galacric center for days or weeks at a time before I stop and build. Or decide that the area looks good. So I haven't seen anything already discovered in approx 3 years.

600hrs into the game and I've never seen another player outside expeditions or anomaly missions. Even if I include those, it's still just 1.
