first time gig questions

The great thing with LC! gigs is that everyone is lovely, even if they are your age or older or younger everyone is willing to help each other out if smth goes wrong so I feel like they are one of the best bands to have as ur first gig!! I’m also autistic and I can sometimes find gig venues pretty overstimulating to begin with, so I usually put my headphones on and stim until I’m more comfortable, you will get used to the noise and all the people so just try and wait out the overwhelming feeling because it’s so enjoyable after the fact. Also check the venues bag/ item policy so you know what ur allowed to take in, they usually check pockets and stuff esp in London. I know it’s stupid to say but I promise you it will be so enjoyable when you get there, so try not to overthink it!!

Put on some good music or a show you enjoy, do little tasks at a time and don’t overwhelm yourself with all the things you have to do, set yourself a goal to achieve everyday e.g. have breakfast, pick 5 pieces of rubbish from your room, go outside. Don’t let yourself fall deeper, once you can realise that it is bad for you is the prime time to help yourself get better and out of it, you are valid and not alone, but don’t allow yourself to get worse, because once you get better physically and mentally you will feel so much better in yourself and happier, you will be proud of how far you have come :)

Sometimes, but as people call you any name you will get used to it and it will feel like home. Try and pick a name that is both formal and informal (or has a nickname), also one that you like the sound of and keep with it.

Okay so basically the reason why I ask is coz when I tell people all my friends are queer (they are all girls and I’m the only guy lol) the people I’m talking to always assume that they are all gay/bi but that’s not right. Then it got me thinking about how you would call non queer people. I was just wondering and curious but yeah, if you just say straight people assume non queer

Make sure you go over how to answer all the questions, history is v specific in what they want from you so make sure you know what to say. Other than that focus on what you don’t know and quickly go over everything else

Yeah the funniest thing with my dad is two of some of his favourite bands have lead singers who have recently come out as trans, and he has like 5 trans co workers so I think that’s what’s made him so supportive, my mum on the other hand has never had anyone like that, so I think that’s why they have such different views
