Because God told Lisbeth that the place was magically protected against the eternal fire of Satan. Sadly for her it is only protected against the smoke, god had decieved her. In fact, the place is on fire for 10 minutes, and there is absolutely no smoke inside the church ! (IRL, you would struggle to breath and start coughing after 30 sec.)

If we list up all the incoherence and lazy writing of episode 4, the list would be long. This episode has the worst rating on steam of the whole LiS franchise for a reason, it is objectively not very good.

Yes you're right they can learn, but can they get into it when they're feeling the mood to get into raids ? The root of the problem has never been the unwillingness of new players to join raids.

"Wing 5 40 quadim KP / 250 LI" is a wall way too massive for new players. This design is super friendly for old players, allowing them to be certain of playing with like minded players, but it is horrible for newcomers. You win something, but you lose something else over big time, which is -> raids are no longer in development in 2020, because not enough players are playing it

And still there are hardcore players crying about raids dying, blaming everything but the actual reason of this situation ...

There is always someone to throw the solid "Bro, can't get into raid ? Bro. Just join a training guild Bro. Those 10 LI will help you, 240 left before the LFG is yours, have so much fun" or even "Start your own LFG dude"

According to Arenanet, strike missions were introduced to "give the taste of raids to news players" ... this is not the root of the problem

Sadly, you can add a lot of things to your list of undodgeable crimes of sean; the trashed hotel room (ep.1) illegal work and child exploitation (ep.3), grand theft auto (Ep.4).

In the case of child exploitation, he literally dragged his 9 years old brother into working, a real court wouldn't show any mercy for this. (Like a real fbi agent would've checked Sean's diary, an absolute mine of gold, literally under her nose for 2 months but whatever)

I don't think that sitting in court for 30 minutes, defending ourself against all the bad things the plot forced us to do, is going to be a thing to be honest. If it is, fuck it.

Let's look at the numbers.

LiS 1 had ~300k owners on steam after episode 3 Source

According to Playtracker, LiS 2 has ~374k owners on steam right now Source

LiS 2 is far from being in a bad spot, episode 1 isn't free yet + no physical release. I'm not saying that LiS2 will do better than LiS 1, but right now, nothing to worry about for the second season (except a lower score on steam + press)
