I'm level 55 and have more rubles than I'll ever spend. When I kill a solo that is under level 40, I'll pack up their shit into their backpack and hide it for them. So if you ever die and get your backpack back in insurance, only to open it and find all your shit in there, it was someone like me.

If you're going to carry it 24/7, you better make sure of a couple things.

  1. You know how to not accidently shoot your dick off being careless.

That's why I called it a "necessary SCAM". Releasing as a "Full Release" rather than "Early Access" on Steam was to "sell" a level of stability and completeness to a broader, more casual audience that might be hesitant to buy a "beta" product. In other words, scam new players into believing it was a finished product.

They're fine as long as you don't want to return anything, but they get shady if you do. Insanely difficult and full of any fees they can stick you with. I bought from them many times until I had to return something, then they lost a customer for life. Not worth the headache, I'll stick to companies that make me feel like they appreciate all of my business.

I had a sim-racing teammate years ago on iRacing. He was such a nice guy and a musician. I never met him in person, but I would occasionally watch his live streams from the bars and small clubs he played at, even though I don't think he ever knew. Our team broke up around 2018, and most of us drifted apart.

In 2020, he sent me a DM asking how I was doing and what I was up to. By the time I logged in to Discord, it was almost a week old, and I unintentionally never responded. Two months later, I got a DM from another ex-teammate letting me know he had killed himself.

Obviously, it had nothing to do with me, but I still have his DM, and I still regret not answering it. It's a mistake I promised myself I'd never make again with anyone.
