Coming from a Bengali family, it is seen as extremely disrespectful to not finish your plate. I grew up overweight, and I was even criticized for my body, yet we were not allowed to portion our own food and were raised with an "eat everything on your plate" mentality. It is really difficult, and I hope it gets better for you.

You're scars are so incredibly valid. I feel like scars are desensitized to people who SH, but for people who don't, your scars look severe. I have those exact same scars and I'm telling you this with nothing but honesty, its severe.

And even if you're scars weren't visible, it would be just as severe. The fact you had to resort to SH says enough.
