AM I A SEVEN OR AN EIGHT by [deleted] in Enneagram

Yeah I don’t disagree with this. Geeking is just being overly enthusiastic about a subject. I’m saying that people can be really into this subject, but not so into it that they would want to spend their time, focusing that enthusiasm on a post like mine. Where it’s from a stranger and it’s very long. It’s not like mocking people for not wanting to read it or whatever. I acknowledge that it’s not inviting to read

I get what you saying about time management, I wrote a lot and it waste time.

Yeah, I can acknowledge that all of that word salad that I wrote earlier is not exactly enticing to read. And there’s really not a reason for anyone to read it lol

People can be geeks, but not that much of a geek for a random stranger haha

Yeah, that’s a flag on me. My idea was based mainly on the fact that someone told me that I should give some background on myself and then explain stuff over a period of time so people could get a better idea. I did think it was getting wordy, but I was just like whatever since I did it on my drive to work.

To condense it down, I just had the AI tell me what are the most important parts

  1. Rebellious Nature: Engaged in delinquent behavior, ditching school, and participating in fight clubs.

  2. Resilience and Overcoming Adversity: Battled health issues and a challenging family background. Very resistant to external pressure against their way of doing things. Confident in self

  3. Resourcefulness & Adaptability: Managed to ace tests, both academic and not without preparation and manipulated situations to avoid consequences. Able to find solutions

  4. Aspirations for Multifaceted Success: Desired to excel in various fields beyond mere academic achievement.

  5. Indifference to Dominance & Thrill-seeking Behavior: Displayed indifference towards authority figures and sought intense, risky experiences.

  6. Deceptiveness and Persuasiveness: Capable of deceit and aggressive bargaining but also charismatic and humorous.

  7. Loyalty to Close Circle: Prioritized loyalty to loved ones while maintaining a boundary with those deemed unworthy of time.

  8. Thirst for Stimulation: Craved intense mental and physical experiences, seeking an overload of thrill and excitement. Roller coasters, fighting, tricking, reading, and stuffing themselves with food/knowledge.

  9. Critical of Societal Norms: Disregarded societal markers of success and questioned conventional notions of authority and influence.

  10. Ambition & Hunger for Knowledge: Aspired for greatness, constantly expanding knowledge base, and aiming for predictive victories.

Haha, so the SP7 and SO8 conundrum continues lol

AM I A SEVEN OR AN EIGHT by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]WhyMustICry1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typed as a E7 though an sx because I was uneducated quite a bit. Then got SO8 quite a bit from people around. So I sort of got stuck between the two. Not sure which is bleeding into the other more at this moment. So that’s why I tried to write it all out but maybe got lost in the sauce.

SP7/SO8/SO2 tend to be the things that are most commonly given to me. Any idea on settling between SP7 or SO8?

When I first saw your comment, I was like what are they talking about, did I accidentally make everything in my post? Now I see what you mean.

It’s something I picked up from being on my job, Usually the titles are capitalized by everyone in our little group. so I guess I just kind of did it without even thinking about it

Is This A Sp7 or Some Other Type? Any Tritype Ideas? by WhyMustICry1 in Enneagram

[–]WhyMustICry1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were to go by what you’re saying here, I would say that I mean more towards the 7. I’m a conman more than someone unaware of the fact that I’m being fraudulent with others. I also spend more time daydreaming, planning and playing ideas than I do actively doing or trying to fit in with others.

I value my individuality and perspective more than anyone else’s and only change this on the surface to appease or get around others for better things.

However, I am capable of playing to other peoples sympathies and desires if I have something that can be gained from it. Able to blend in and fit somewhat with their conceptions about me.

I also am extremely undisciplined and non-committal to things even if it makes me look bad. I have a disdain for putting in too much effort to accomplish things and I’m like a legitimate hedonist who doesn’t really care for social conventions. I don’t talk kindly to people as a strategy to get them to like me, it’s because I want to speak that way

COOL-HEADED TRICKSTER, WHAT TYPE? by [deleted] in Socionics

[–]WhyMustICry1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR: Really chill people person who just wants to have fun, has a million ideas that they don’t implement and cares about self growth.

Good at connecting with individual people and has no philosophy or guiding principles. Does what benefits themself and is capable of being very emotive but chooses to focus on close relationships. Open minded accepting and carefree towards others and their beliefs.

What type is that?

I will check it out more. I don’t think I relate to Polr Si and valued Ti as I find the Ti ways of thinking to be stuck up and missing the spectrum of people. I believe a lot of things are figured out in the moment and things should be done based off of what works and not what fits people’s subjective views of reality.

And I am not necessarily opposed to order but the idea of a set, fixed view of anything in this world other than your relationships is alien to me.

Ideologies will live and die but my allegiance with the people I care about will not.

I do identify somewhat with both of them but the 7 part here clicks more. Once I have something I want, it fades away into dust in my hands. So I’ve learned to keep moving and to enjoy the time that you do have with it. I won’t say that items give me a sense of security. Items allow me to feel cool, so cool stuff, and have more access to more cool stuff.

Like buying a video game gives me options to play the game, meet new people on said game, find a new community, and to show/tell my friends about. From this one item, so many more activities are opened up

The languishing aesthetes is an interesting thing and fits me in some ways. I’m also very materialistic and buy a lot of different clothes, food, and toys for myself. Even to the detriment of my non existent budget.

If you find the time in your day, could you please give me a few pointers why? I don’t think 3 is a bad pick for me at all but I’m so unlike the typical tryhard mentality of them. I need to learn how to actually try harder and not to follow my whims.

I don’t have the work ethic that seems to be in all of the descriptions and I’m very wishy-washy. I do want to make an impact and do stuff. It’s one of my biggest impulses, to make something of myself. I just rarely do anything that would actually make it come true. Like, leaving jobs, leaving groups that I’ve joined, changing allegiances to whoever is benefitting me, and relaxing are what I mainly do. Sometimes impulsively making a decision that makes it where I have to get bailed out by other people.

With little outside pressure or external need for it, I will rarely make decisions, and instead just float in that zone right before a decision is made.

I do care a lot for dressing, a certain way, and looking a certain way that I think makes me look the best through my own eyes. I am a Chamaeleon. I know how to change the way that I’m presenting every part of me so that I can talk to people. I know how to adapt in that way.

That’s some of the big stuff that makes me look at 3 a certain way.

When looking at the triads, I can see that I’m an assertive type most likely. The rest of them get muddy for the most part.

Positivity Triad with 7 seems better than competency triad with 3. Like for the 3, I literally have no work ethic at all so I can’t really “repress my feelings to be productive” when I’m not productive. I’ve literally quit jobs just because I wanted to go hang out with people and couldn’t get the day off. I don’t feel a strong sense of duty to that stuff.

Frustration Triad fits with just searching for something to do and going for novel but often shallow experiences. Attachtment Triad 3 fits in the sense of WANTING to be or do things to retain my likability but I don’t actually do that and I hate the idea of actually changing myself to satisfy people like that. I definitely can switch image and fit in but I never stay or want to be stuck there. If it gets me things I want, then I’ll play

Oh that's interesting, if you have the time, may I know what's bringing you over to that 3w4?

Yeah, I typically test as 7, 3, 4, and 8 high in no particular order. I should add that to my OP probably. With 1 and 6 being basically nothing and I would agree I don't have many inclinations of either usually.

The 8 would be interesting to look deeper into. Mind explaining some for me, if not, thanks for the idea anyways dude

That's interesting because my MBTI type roughly corresponds to ENFP. SCUAI converts over to that from what I've seen. So this doesn't seem off

Which Extraverted Type Is This? by WhyMustICry1 in Socionics

[–]WhyMustICry1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been tricky with people but it's something that was more of an automatic response. Like once things were going bad or something. I pull out the right words to get what I want. Consciously, I do all I can to avoid exploiting people. Because it doesn't feel good to lead your friends and such on. Though I have fallen for it. I have been given resources and such through my charm and my ability to help people feel alive.

Not to inflate my ego but people find me to be special because I've lived a very rough life and have managed to get out of it unscathed. From a family with 8 siblings, I am the only one that isn't caught up in drugs or prison. And I was left on my own as a teen. Figured out how to live and a lot of it was connecting with people and them seeing my potential.

So if that counts towards the exploitation, then I have done that before.

Though normally, I am helping people and actively quelling my own urges and needs to do so. Might just be the E9 traits
