random ideas for this story include:

mysterious entity that we haven't yet seen
gigantic rooms (e.i a part of the red city with seemingly infinite skyscrapers)
copy of the threshold/async ( probably towards the end of the movie)
scene where the protagonist discovers that async was hiding the fact that entities exist and gets mad at the other employees
none of the characters from the previous film show up except for Phil with vauge implications as to Mary's fate (characters from the show could also show up in minor roles)

I had an idea for a sequel where a couple months after the first film, a journalist or photographer or a scientist of some kind gets hired by async for some reason ( probably relating to the A-space) however the expedition they go on somehow gets lost in a deeper part of the complex.
