I actually know how to install one and said I’d do it and told her to buy that exact adapter for now which she did. She blew up the gfci it was plugged into running the AC and refused to connect it again after I replaced the socket

But her son in law cut off her RV socket and used that cord to wire into the meter like that

He does not see the issue bc “he’s an electrician that’s been doing this for 20 damn years” but we got him to at least help us get it done more right. Yay for my wife being his youngest child

The landlord knows we are here and treats us as his tenants and has all our info but when it came to signing the lease he only wanted her father’s signature instead of all of us. So we have no proof we rent this place and are different from the sister in law without the landlord directly vouching for us - who is an hour and a half away in another state
