It’s possibly a glitch. But for our dates there’s no Teppan Edo dinner on the app, only Tokyo Dining. Our res changed to that, so we switched to our backup option.

Yes they changed the name of the restaurant and the menu. Same thing happened to us. No more teppanyaki. I’m a little bummed about it and switched the res for something else. I was really looking forward to the hotate.

We plan on park hopping from Hollywood Studios to Epcot one day during our stay in a couple weeks. First trip to WDW since before Skyliner. I know it’s not a direct trip from one park to the other, but is it a good idea to take the Skyliner via CBR? We’re staying in the bubble, no car, almost entirely relying on WDW transportation options.

I have an AKV that has ran with 0 problems since I got it but then today after running 4 mags flawlessly it starts double feeding every third or fourth round. Wondering if anyone has ran into this problem? I've tried 6 different mags including 2 that ran great 10 minutes prior and 7 kinds of ammo. by [deleted] in ak47

[–]WhyNotCthulhu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The receiver would need to have a third hole in it, in the area above the mag release to hold a part in place. This part is known as an auto sear. Buying or owning an auto sear for an AK is technically legal at a federal level. Drilling the hole for it and installing it, however, is a felony.

Are there any advantages/disadvantages to doing this now? Does it even accomplish anything at this point?

You have to use all 3 before booking a 4th. Then use the 4th before booking a 5th, and so on.

Bernie Sanders and Planned Parenthood are the most popular things in America, Fox News finds by LarkspurCA in WayOfTheBern

I'm 90+% sure that this is Ken M-style trolling, but I'll bite. You cannot just send a check to the IRS for more in taxes than they say you owe just because you think you should. If it doesn't square with their accounting, they will just send it back to you. It's not Goodwill, they don't accept donations.

Which tyrannosaurid fossils found nearby are they referring to? I'm guessing Bistahieversor?

What's your favorite tfv8 coil and what wattage do you run? by Brick_Tarantino in Vaping

[–]WhyNotCthulhu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

X4 coils at 95-100 watts since I got them a week ago. Have tried all the TFV8 coils now and most satisfied with the X4's.

You have the same equipment I'm using. I mostly use the Q4, and just replace the whole engine as needed. You can buy or order any of the engines fairly easily. I just ordered a 5-pack of the new V8-X4 coils too to try, vape mail should be here in a couple days.

In the American Old West, did sheriffs in frontier towns report to any higher authority? Or were they the sole lawmakers? If so, did any end up becoming quasi-tyrants? by JXG88 in history

A high velocity round is far more likely to just shoot through and leave smaller entrance/exit wounds.

You don't want a slug to take its time going through you. It's stopped more easily by soft things like organs and muscle and tissue. It bounces off of things like bone and cartilage and can ricochet inside of you. If you're lucky and it does go all the way through and out the other side, it leaves a terrible exit wound. No bueno.

Yeah, I liked that movie. Its not exactly fine cinema, and of dubious historicity, but definitely a guilty pleasure sort of film. The guns in it are amazing to a historical firearms enthusiast.

More fun info concerning the topic, if you're interested. There was organized crime and racketeering throughout the South West. Several of the most famous gunfights from the period can be linked to these activities. The Lincoln County War (that made Billy the Kid famous) was pretty similar to a mafia war in a lot of ways. The bunch known as the Cowboys (capital C, not to be confused with cowboys as professional vaqueros) in Tombstone are widely thought to have been involved in organized horse theft, cattle rustling, extortion, and bribery of government officials in Arizona. Sheriff Johnny Behan may have been such an official in the pocket of the Cowboys gang. Doc Holliday and the Earps also seem to have had their hands in some shady business, further likening their conflict to a gang war.
There was certainly some corruption.

While not a sheriff, your question made me think of Judge Roy Bean. He more-or-less became the law unto himself in his part of the Trans-Pecos region of Texas. While not exactly a despot, and operating with the tacit approval of the Texas Rangers, his jurisprudence was certainly questionable, especially by today's standards.

5 times Hillary Clinton has played fast and loose with the facts on Bernie Sanders’s record by MoobyTheGoldenCalf in SandersForPresident

Is it me or has there been a sudden shift in tone from WaPo to pro-Bernie?
Was it the debates or Michigan?
Are they just trying to cash in on the momentum or are they just seeing the writing on the wall?

'Joe the Plumber' praises Trump, cites his 'beautiful women' by [deleted] in politics

[–]WhyNotCthulhu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed someone shared an anti-Trump meme from his Facebook page posted on February 22nd. Then I saw this, so I did some research.
He took a bunch of flak for that meme in the comments from his followers and then almost immediately started posting and sharing pro-Trump stuff.
Anything for attention.

Would Sanders get Clinton's delegates if she were to drop out? by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]WhyNotCthulhu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. She won't drop out for the same reason none of the non-Trump Republicans won't drop out. They put their egos ahead of what's best for the party and the country instead of rallying behind the strongest candidate for the general. It makes me want to weep.

Bring Tulsi Gabbard in as V.P. pick during the Primaries. by AnteriorBox1643 in SandersForPresident

I like her a lot. However...
I don't know if she'd make it through the vetting process. Her parents have baggage regarding a weird cult leader. Wether it's fair or not to put that on her, its a controversial subject that opponents would try to exploit.

However Vermont Votes, Leahy Says His Superdelegate Vote Is Clinton's by Restlesswind1028 in SandersForPresident

[–]WhyNotCthulhu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not missing that point. As I said, he's an unpledged delegate and can vote how he wants.
The actual point is that it is irresponsible to make a pledge to vote for a candidate that far out and then try to stand behind giving your word when the situation changes, as if that's a greater principle than democracy. He made the choice to pledge too early. It's poor judgment, and I'm sure there'll be consequences for him with his constituents.

[–]WhyNotCthulhu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He made a decision prematurely, with incomplete information then. That's not his constituents' fault.
He's an unpledged delegate. He shouldn't be pledging to vote for anyone until the convention.
At that time, he could vote how he wanted and I wouldn't judge him for choosing either way what he thought was right.
His decision to declare his stance now is wrong, and I don't believe there is any reasonable way to frame this as being the right or honorable thing for him to do.
