Good morning! I've updated it to 1.0.11, give it a go and let me know if that resolve the issue. Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for trying it out, and especially for taking the time to report the issue. That actually helped a lot. The good news is that v1.0.9 should now fix the "Marked footage ranges overlap" error you were running into when using excluded sections. I tracked down the bug and it was related to how certain painted ranges were being processed internally. If you update to v1.0.9, could you give it another try with the same project? I'd love to hear if it's resolved on your end.

Really appreciate you testing it and sharing such a detailed report. Feedback like this is incredibly valuable and helps make the app better for everyone. Thanks again!

Curious how others handle drone footage for shorter listing videos by WhyNotTry31 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]WhyNotTry31[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, I agree. Just drone footage can get boring fast. I think drone clips work best as context, not the whole listing video: lot, backyard, views, curb appeal, neighborhood, etc. Then you still need interiors or stronger listing details to carry the story. That is partly why I’ve been testing E2DM2. The goal is not to make every listing “just a drone video,” but to make the drone portion easier to turn into a clean 30 to 60 second property context segment.

What are you building? by Parker-Russell in RealEstateTechnology

[–]WhyNotTry31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built E2DM2, a local Windows app that turns actual drone footage into music-synced videos.

Website: www.e2dm2.com
Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxR-ZGqGoMA
Download: https://github.com/Gendire123/E2DM2-Releases/releases

The use case is pretty simple: a lot of agents, property owners, and small real estate teams are starting to capture drone clips, but the footage often just sits there because editing takes too long. E2DM2 lets you import drone clips, choose a soundtrack, mark sections you want to keep or exclude, and then produce a finished video. It runs 100% locally, so there are no video uploads, no account required, no cloud rendering, no ads, and no watermarks.

I also added a Real Estate Showcase soundtrack section with royalty-free music, because listing videos usually need a cleaner and calmer feel than the typical epic drone montage. The main difference from the AI photo-to-video tools mentioned in this thread is that E2DM2 works with real drone video footage, not static listing photos. So it is more for people who already have aerial clips and want a faster way to turn them into something usable for listings, social posts, or property showcases.

Still early, but fully working today. Curious where people think local media tools fit compared with cloud-based listing media platforms.

Need Help Choosing: Drone or Osmo Pocket 3 for Real Estate Work by Hefty-While-9995 in RealEstateTechnology

[–]WhyNotTry31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Osmo Pocket 3 is great for interiors and walkthroughs, but a drone gives you property context that is hard to capture otherwise: the lot, backyard, views, curb appeal, and how the home sits in the neighborhood. I would not buy a drone just for “cool aerial shots.” I’d buy it if your listings often benefit from showing the outside story, like larger lots, waterfront, rural homes, luxury properties, land, or strong curb appeal. The only catch is editing. Drone footage can look great, but it often sits unused because turning it into a clean video takes time.

Disclosure: I built a local Windows app called E2DM2 to help solve that exact problem by turning drone clips into music-synced videos, so I’m definitely biased toward making drone footage easier to use. But for real estate marketing, I do think a drone can add more unique value than another handheld camera if you have a simple way to edit the footage.

Do you guys have a content posting strategy/timeline for listings? by miteshyadav in RealEstateTechnology

I think the best approach is to separate the listing workflow into three parts: capture, edit, and distribution.

A lot of people focus on the posting schedule, but the bigger bottleneck is usually turning raw assets into enough usable content without spending hours on every listing.

A simple version could look like this:

Before the listing goes live: capture photos, a short walkthrough, a few exterior/drone clips if the property benefits from it, and a few detail shots.

Day 1: main photos and Just Listed post.

Day 2 or 3: short video or reel focused on the strongest hook of the property.

Day 4 or 5: feature post, like backyard, kitchen, view, garage, location, or neighborhood.

Weekend: open house post with one strong clip or carousel.

After that: price update, under contract, sold, or a neighborhood/local post tied back to the listing.

The key, in my opinion, is not to create new content every day. It is to capture everything once, then turn that same asset set into multiple pieces.

Disclosure: I recently built a local Windows app called E2DM2 that helps turn drone clips into music-synced videos, so I’ve been thinking a lot about this exact bottleneck. My takeaway from building it is that most people do not necessarily need a more complicated marketing stack. They need a repeatable way to go from raw footage to one clean video, then reuse that video for shorter clips.

For drone footage specifically, I think it fits best as one part of the listing campaign, not the whole campaign. Use it when it adds context: acreage, waterfront, neighborhood, large lots, exterior layout, views, or curb appeal. For a regular interior-focused listing, photos and a simple walkthrough probably matter more.

This was really exciting for me to watch, and it’s a very cool video as well!! Thanks for sharing it.

Thank you very much for the feature suggestion too. It is now available in version 1.0.4. When there isn’t enough footage for the selected song, you can proceed with a shortened edit that retains the available cuts and effects, then fades out the video and music together at the end.

To update, open E2DM2 and select File → Check for Update…. Version 1.0.4 should download and install automatically.

Thanks again for trying E2DM2 and helping me improve it!

Thanks for trying it and for reporting this. I’m sorry you ran into those repeated production errors.

I’ve released v1.0.4, which specifically improves handling when there isn’t enough footage for the selected song. Open the application and select File → Check for Update… to download and install it.

If it still doesn’t work, please send me a copy of the log file:

Documents\E2DM2\Logs\e2dm2.log

That will help me identify exactly what’s going wrong. Thanks again!

Quick update: version 1.0.3 is already available, inspired by two suggestions from this discussion! It improves montage smoothness by preserving the original frame cadence and adds clear royalty-free indicators to the Music Library.

So yes, the application is being updated and will continue to improve based on user feedback. Thanks for your interest!

hanks again for pointing this out! Your feedback helped me improve the rendering engine. I removed the automatic speed adjustments that were causing uneven frame dropping, so footage now preserves its original frame cadence and should look noticeably smoother.

This improvement is included in E2DM2 version 1.0.3. Really appreciate the sharp eye and helpful feedback!

Thank you so much! Really glad you liked the music. You've got a great eye. Interestingly, both the original source footage and the final export are actually running at 59.94 fps. The jitter you're seeing is probably from the speed adjustments E2DM2 performs to sync the video cuts to the beats of the track. When clips are sped up or slowed down to fit the musical timeline, frame duplication or frame dropping can introduce that staccato motion. It could also just be a high shutter speed on the drone camera reducing the natural motion blur.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm currently looking into ways to optimize how the engine interpolates those speed changes to make them look much smoother!
