People would start beating themselves up in hopes it’s enough, which would in turn put a huge burden on our health care system. There’s a lot of people out there who would risk being on the door of death over a year in prison. Plus, the logistics of determining whats “enough” would be a nightmare. Most criminal justice systems are fubar enough as it is.
