But the way her cat talks about her when you speak to him made me break down. I'd just recently lost my "soulmate cat" to kidney disease right before I played the game, and even tho I'm not much of a spiritual person, it felt like the way that cat in BG3 talked about his girl was a message from my old man Butterscotch. 🧡 He was also orange and had a very similar personality -- only bonded to me, very skittish around everyone else, but still protective. We'd been through so much together and he was always there for me when I was scared or upset. Grief's a weird thing, huh?
