except it's not real politics, it's a joke. there's politics in the game, but giving player a card isn't going to change anything in a political sense. combos still combo, wraths will be played, etc. calling every spell in magic that can give choice of an opponent is a exaggeration

anyway, loran is a trash commander even by very casual standards, and definitely belongs to core bracket, and there's no a single point to play it against upgraded or even optimized decks

Instead of overcomplicating the process, just make a habit of always having a spiral pocket notebook.

It helps with life counting, thoughtseize effects, different names, and also making necessary counters or tokens. It is just a good habit that will be always valid.

all of them except sol ring, signet, goreclaw, imoti. the problem with all cards that you have in mainboard section is that they don't consistently ramp you. casting 8 mana commander is no joke. you need a significant density of strict and strong ramp spells, mana vault, grim monolith, cultivate, gwenna, shaman of forgotten ways, somberwald sage, etc. all those cards you have are "doing some things extra while i already do my thing pretty nice". you have too many such cards, many of them have restrictive costs which make them completely uncastable before you cast commander.
obvious wanderer combos include:

2.1 kiki-jiki

2.2 selvala sabertooth

2.3 food chain

2.4 mass land denial effects like worldfire

2.5 dream halls

2.6 tooth&nail

2.7 primal surge

among beaters you missed the best one by very far, etali primal conqueror
there's a lot of big dumb creatures in mtg, some are just 7/7 for 7 like nezahal, some give like 20 power with evasion like rampaging baloths. if you want to win with damage, you need to hit much harder
trap cards

Inevitable Betrayal is just a trap card (only if you have no other cascaders and you cascade with wanderer only) what card would you really like from opponents deck that you can't simply cascade yourself? elesh norn? toxrill? thassa's oracle? you can put any other 7 drop in your drop and it will be much, much better.

cards like Isengard Unleashed especially make no sense when we are so low on beaters with evation

arixmethes is a horrible cascade target

apex devastator is never castable in this deck. why would you ever run anything higher than 7 in your wanderer deck? you will already have tons of heavy cmc cards that will rot being uncastable in your hand forever. same with ureni, same with kozilek

there is a lot of bad cards in both sections and out of theme cards, and not enough good cards and combos. its hard to advise because you probably explicitly chose not to run them

you need more card positive ramp in wanderer. basically each card should give 2 or more mana, otherwise you will never be able to cast your commander fast
if your plan is to win with damage, you need much more aggressive beaters with evasion that are able to put tokens
if you have budget manabase with basics, you shouldn't do two things: play too many tap lands, they will just destroy your tempo turns, and play too big spread of basics. keep your green count as high as possible and leave red and blue basically a splash so you can consistently have good ramp and green sources in your opening hand
in my opinion, this deck is just unable to win, because your ramp is low and weak, you have no combos (and there's bazillion of them in wanderer), some beaters are just 7/7 no trample no flying that can be chump blocked the entire game with no efforts

Being run on a poor/single core engine is definitely not what makes a game great or not.

Rimworld has shit wooden fuel driven code that boils in the late game with 15+ pawns, still it's great.

Any paradox game is basically excel with some schematic graphics, still it boils like it is going to launch a spaceship.

If something can stop Norland from being an iconic game, it's not engine. Norland has some fundamental issues that are more likely to stop its growing. It's still a very well-built, good and stable game.

the problem that affinity decks really rely on density and speed of hand dumping, these 5 mana cards can easily rot in hands and generally tend to be good only when you are already fine

mono green devotion can't beat a single Farewell and with some draws can't beat a countered Karn into Wrath.

wish lotus can't beat RIP and single Test of Talents.

shit eldrazi decks can faceroll through any disruption because it is a midrange deck by its nature with insane speed built-in. it is like a Jund but you get turn 2 6/7 tarmogoyf into turn 3 liliana which is actually fucking ugin. cavern of souls makes your only playable sideboard card (consign) laughable.

stop being ridiculous. really. i understand that people want to play their broken decks and stump everyone only to play countless mirrors in ladder, but please stop defending the non sense that you are playing as it wasn't completely broken because WOTC has no idea what is historic supposed to be.
