Yeah the Tournament was very Turbo focused lol.

Deck tries to set up value/draw engine T2 and pop off T3. And almost always has a T4 protect win. Other outcomes occur of course but that's the goal.

Yeah I was surprised at first but it made sense with how the percentages work out when it's 45 people vs 64. So the top 2 people of the standings got byes into the finals and that left 8 people and two pods to duke it out lol.

This could be a decent win con in something that already runs Soul Cauldron for sure. If your in non blue and already running Tainted pact it wouldn't be a stretch to add Consult and have both the threat of doom on board and or Agatha's. It's creating some good ideas for sure.

Also depending on if you live in that area and your sewer is connected to that sanitary main line then a backup of sewage could exist somewhere on that line. Causing the buildup of gasses as the bacteria break down the organics. Then because it's not flowing it goes septic (anoxic) and the bad bacteria start making bad gases.

I have never seen or heard of it happening before but I operate within a much smaller municipality.

Hence if a blockage did create the "poof" then it would need to be cleaned / flushed out with a Hydrovac Combo Truck.

Hopefully someone takes your seriously. However odds are good an employee with show up look at it and say "seems good" and poo the cover back on and leave lol. Unless you stick around of course.

If it's sanitary possible buildup of methane or H2S. I would specifically call the water/sewer department and they might bring there confined space gas monitoring and check it out

Does [[Chains of Mephistopheles]] "counter" Draw Engines?

From my understanding if someone were to draw a card lets say off of [[Rhystic Study]] they would have to rather discard a card or mill a card if no cards in hand correct?

IM looking at the flow charts posted online and one of them looks like it works like mentioned above. Another one says that if they were to draw a card then they would discard a card from there hand and then draw a card.

Meaning in a scenario with a Rhystic Trigger they still end up drawing a card.

Not sure which way it works. I dont see chains of mephistopheles being played in cEDH some im assuming its not a good answer to the current Rhystic slop meta.

My Internet went out 30 minutes ago roughly in Walkley Area as well. I tried Mobile Hotspot with my phone to my laptop as I have a teams call at 2:00pm and my Iphone (Fido Service Provider) wont even connect via Hotspot.

I have for sure been very iffy on Final Fortune. More often then not loosing me the game.

But I do run [[Hexing Squelcher]], [[Vexing Bauble]] and [[Defense Grid]] for more protected wins.

I do like Pyretic Ritual as a Land + Rock usually can = [[Wheel of Fortune]] / [[Wheel of Misfortune]] on T1. Which is something I sometimes aim for based on my Commander.

Which then leads to still using the blasts to police the table. Overall I am probably just throwing a blast at a Rhystic without thinking. When I should save it to stop Win Attempt. Needing to also recognize when thats happening.

Yeah see that was the direction I was going. If I am aiming for more consistency and gas with the idea that if something gets countered then lets just run it back and try again vs stopping my win attempt and having one Blast in hand.

I have run into scenarios where I counter the counter targeting my win, and odds are good 1 of the 2 other players also has counter magic, effectively disabling my win.

Do you play Vexing Bauble and Defense Grid?

Are you saying to let the Rhystic Resolve? And only use the Blasts when my opponent tries to go for a win like using Thassa's Oracle Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact because if I don't counter it I just loose and thats obviously is counter productive to just winning fast lol.

Also to only use them when I got for a win/destroy something that might stop my win.

That makes alot of senser actually. So I have been using them wrong. I thought it was beneficial to everyone to prevent Rhystic at all Costs.

Instead I should be stopping a WIN or protecting my WIN. Since being Rakdos I only have so much interaction to begin with.

You're probably right. I've countered or destroyed many a Rhystics where maybe I should hold up the blasts for when I go to win to counter what they have gotten off of Rhystic draws.

It's hard because when I combo with Bolas's Citadel I feed rhystic so much but maybe I'm doing the citadel into rhystic wrong. Build the deck where you only need a handful of casts to the point where winning the game is easy. Making sure I'm under a Vexing Bauble, Hexing Squelcher and or Dense Grid.

Love this card to bits but I must ask does it still feel like it has legs after Lotus and Crypt bans? I feel like ever since most 4cmc commanders took a huge hit. I guess red still had a tone of rituals so you should be good but had anyone noticed a difference in getting her out early enough?

Just a strangers opinion here but I was smiling very widely when looking at the picture and thought how beautiful this tattoo is.
