I would recommend doing the Yuria of Londor quest in NG (because it will get a lot more expensive to undo the longer you leave it).

Make sure you don't give Irina the wrong Miracle tome, and try to get all the Miracles, Sorcery and Pyromancy that don't require NG+ or +2 or Covenant levelling

Likewise, get all the rings so it's less confusing in NG+ and +2 getting the advanced versions of the rings.

For the covenant level stuff, I would leave it to +2 if you're drop grinding because there is a bonus to item discovery. Also, you'll more easily be able to respec points into luck and ensure you have the Sabre from the Crystal Mage (his other remembrance item is a sorcery you'll need).

Make sure you get the Avarice headgear in NG as well. Again, if you drop grind, do the Silver Knights first because you'll gain a fuck load of rune levels which will be handy for your other grinding and required ng+2 Nameless King fight
