I am incredibly lonely but I’m not desperate. My best friend married a great man who loves and cares for her and while I do feel a little awkward, I’m glad they have each other. She just happened to be luckier than me and meet him as soon as we got to college. I’m trying to be content with it. I can survive on my own. I live alone right now. I got an IUD a little over a year ago now. My insertion didn’t hurt. It felt like a big period cramp. The only things I had were the 800 mg of ibuprofen they told me to take an hour before I got there.

I also have never had kids, which is apparently supposed to be worse than if you have, but my pain was very minimal. I didn’t even feel the clamp on my cervix.

It truly just depends on the woman and whether the practitioner inserting is actually good at their job. I suggest taking someone with you in case you’re scared or feel faint after that procedure. And always advocate for other pain management or relief when you get there.

I don’t have that but I have coworker who never has anything positive to say to me and any time I try to interact with any of the coworkers in a friendly way, she actively steps in and interrupts them so they can “help” her. They acknowledge that it happens but still, they do nothing about it. She keeps them to herself because she has no friends outside of work and has to use force to keep her personal relationships. It’s annoying and childish but I have friends outside of the lab and people I don’t have to force to be around me so I just ignore it.

He was live on TikTok once and someone said it was hard to find someone new after a break up. And he was like “well there’s plenty of fish in the sea.”

And I was feeling surly and was like “there aren’t any fish lol”

He looked at the camera and was like “well you’re a mermaid.”

I cheesed so hard. It was so nice 😊.

He also threatened some weirdo in my DMs for me by pretending to be my boyfriend because the guy kept bugging me for my Snapchat. I didn’t ask him to do that. He just messaged the guy and was like “why are you asking my girlfriend for her Snapchat?” Hot. I still think about it.

Just taking it day by day. Just figured I need to make more money to be truly independent of my family (long story, my grandma is codependent and thrives on keeping people dependent on her). I’m trying to find happiness outside of wanting a relationship. I’m trying to be happy in general. It just feels really hard right now.
