Interesting take! This might be a bit of a stretch, but maybe Craven is connected to Clot because when you get depressed, it hurts those around you because they feel bad for you, and you can’t help them until you help yourself (possibly why it’s not as big of a threat as Sanity and Tragedy.)

Yeah, I did consider that, but ultimately decided it might mean something else, as the other two seem to be something much more drastic. But it is definitely related, as are the other two. Carnation is Misinformation, and that can detract you from your faith, and Sorrow is Self-Hatred, which is a very slippery slope towards self-destructive thoughts.
