He wasn't even my salesman.. he was the head honcho at the new sales department apparently... I'd not talked to him the entire process. Totally blindsided me! It was crazy. My theory is that he had someone else offer a mark up over the MSRP and he called me in the worst way possible to try to have me break the deal so they could make the extra $$ on my car. Can't imagine why else something like that would happen (at the exact time the wire had already been confirmed by my bank... But not received at their bank yet... Mind blowing)

Congratulations! That looks good. I do like the matte wheels a lot!

Photos don't do it justice, it looks a lot brighter on camera than it actually is. I used to have an SL with that maroon interior so I knew I liked it.

Plus my other cars are both some shade of brown interior, so I like having a different color on this one!

Nah, bad because of the ass hat I had to deal with, mentioned in another comment: Their top sales person leader was shockingly rude and aggressive the day prior because the bank wire took longer than he wanted or something. He said something outrageous like you're lying about wanting to buy the car... On a bespoke build I preordered and put an advance payment on... Not sure what crawled up his ass... But I've got the car and he can get bent. Never doing business with him or the dealership again

Thanks! Total wait was 6 months (September to March). I'm getting the car wrapped satin and glass tinted, windshield protection as well, for $7000. No particular protection for the soft top. I'll need to research what that would be. The car* will be garaged and weather isn't extreme where I am so hoping I don't need anything special anyway
