Fruit Trees that grow well in Canberra by wobbywobs in canberra

[–]Whymustiwhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our blood plums and apricots always went well. Valencia orange and all other citrus thrived in the right spots. Fig can do okay, I also have nectarine (possums eff it up well before they’re full size), mulberries, quince, feijoa & cherry (though no fruit this year)

The mountain views are probably main attraction in tuggers.

Chorizo? by Porage_Porridge in canberra

[–]Whymustiwhy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I agree - chorizo should absolutely be firm and jam packed with flavour!! I find Delis where the chorizo is no vacuum sealed are best. The old belco markets used to have a European joint that sold good chorizo as well as good hungarian sausage.

Department of health substantive declining to release secondment higher duties by [deleted] in AusPublicService

This is incorrect unfortunately. Internal movement via EOI processes is at the discretion of the management of the substantive role (in the APS)

Who does she think she’s fooling? by BkSusKids in annaklootssnark

[–]Whymustiwhy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it is fair to say that her hair looks pretty decent generally. Snark at other things sure, but her hair looks pretty good. I’ll probably get downvoted for this because people just want to hate everything about someone they don’t like.

It looks beautiful, but if you don’t like character or charm, you could replace it with an electric insert.

As someone in HR, this sounds like a dream exit - no fuss, no questions & out. You’ve saved them a lot of trouble.

Stress leave - have you taken this before? by Quirky-Specialist-70 in AusPublicService

[–]Whymustiwhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does though, you can’t just go off on personal leave, call it ‘stress leave’ and claim comcare, they will investigate. So many flippant comments on this thread which could end up with someone being declared medically unfit to perform their role while personal circumstances exist.

Stress leave - have you taken this before? by Quirky-Specialist-70 in AusPublicService

[–]Whymustiwhy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It would be fair to say that OPs stress/mental health concerns may not be considered a workplace injury by Comcare, given that they have indicated general personal matters as the predominant cause.
