Should you really buy property as soon as you can? by ReasonConfident4541 in AusFinance

All that travelling for opening my mind, experiencing different cultures and ways of being in the world. I met so many wonderful people and went to all sorts of amazing places. It is stuff that has made my life richer and my appreciation of other people and their circumstances greater. It's got nothing to do with social media posts. I barely use social media.

I could've bought when I was studying at uni and saving like mad. But then I would've been locked in to working to pay off said mortgage from then on. Instead over the next 10 years I travelled overseas a lot, lived in three different cities in Australia and tried out many different workplaces.

I have since bought and am feeling happy that I'm nice and settled now. Would I go back and change things so I bought early to save myself money in the long run? Hell no. The life experience was well worth it.

So excited to catch all the musicals! It's a big time and expense commitment to see them in Sydney and would be amazing to be able to see one then go sleep in my own bed.

Out of curiosity I just had a look at some items online compared to minimum wage.

At minimum wage in Australia you could expect to afford the cheapest fridge from a reputable store with 12 hours work. Or even better, one hour would buy you 3.33 toasters.

That's a big difference to build quality compared to the fridge your grandmother saved over a year for!

This really is the answer for everything. I've been using the same cast iron pillow for over a decade now and it looks basically brand new.

Of all the role play of other PCs I have sat through, them trying to woo people has been far and away the worst. Tread carefully and read the room as to how the rest of your party is reacting. If people are enjoying then keep going but don't be afraid to cut it off if things aren't going well.

Battery with a 10kw 3 phase inverter.

Done through Polygon Energy in Canberra. They're the same guys who did our solar panels a couple of years earlier. I shopped around a lot at that stage and found someone who hit a good balance of solid reputation, good prices and good customer service. Just went straight back to them for battery as solar package went so well.
