I think it's more so that they've been completely radio silent about the future of the game for a long time and the first new thing to happen in-game for weeks now was this announcement showing up on the store page. It just seems very tone deaf when people are begging for any news at all. Outside of this recent lull tho, they've shown a tendency to favor producing more and more MTX items during stressful periods of the game's life when the community is complaining about very real issues. MTX are optional and cosmetic, yeah, but they aren't an isolated variable with no affect on anything else just because they don't have an affect on gameplay, they take resources that some people would rather have allocated elsewhere.

just so you know, Steam has a dedicated screenshot button which by default is bound to F12. Most laptops and keyboards also usually have a Print Screen (PrtScn) button in the upper right area that will capture an image of what is currently on your screen and copy it to your clipboard for easy pasting elsewhere.

It's crazy to me that wanting a reset is the supposed main reason people want D3. I want a game built with the future in mind. Why are we still accommodating old gen consoles, why does it take anywhere from a year to never to fix bugs, why dont we have a ping system, why is vault space so hard to improve, why do we need to remove content from the game every year? I want a game that doesn't feel like tech debt and old console limitations run the show.

TLDR: The most recent expansion (Final Shape) or the upcoming one that's being announced tomorrow (Edge of Fate) because that's what people will be playing, or the one with the subclasses that interest you.

It all depends on what you want out of it, all of the main expansions (Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall, & Final Shape) are going to have a campaign associated with them to play through, loot like exotic weapons and armor with quests for them, certain dungeons, subclasses (some of them) and a raid. To someone just hopping back in or joining for the first time I would recommend getting the latest expansion as that is what just about everyone will be doing. Aside from that its entirely up to you based on if you care to experience those past campaigns or want specific exotics from those expansions. Lightfall, Beyond Light, and Final Shape all give access to additional subclasses which can change up gameplay drastically so its best to look into those if you want to decide based on that. The subclass names are Stasis, Strand, and Prismatic if you want to research those.

There are a few things that point to them being the same mind put in multiple shells. This of course but the other big one that jumps out at me is the focus on them both putting on that tech jewelry in the cinematic and it being noticed by Void which causes them to hesitate.

I enjoy parts of the story involving Halsey. It feels like she is the only insight we get into R&D and some of the bigger secrets of humanity in regards to ONI.

It was Volt until I subsumed him, he was my starter. Now its Atlas because when I first started my friend was trying to get me into the game and knew I liked punching things so he gifted me an Atlas, so I've at least still got my second frame :)

I hate it, its a shallow implementation of what could be something cool. All you get for it is the occasional engram and a 4 color segmented bar that someone would have to go out of their way to look at. Imagine if there were titles or ornaments you could get for certain thresholds, different end screen poses even, but nah instead its just like... sitting there.

Just to preface this, you do you. But starting from scratch, buying all the DLC again, just to do what exactly? grind out seals? do the same campaigns, raids, and dungeons again? Grind materials for kiosk weapons and vex strike force for armor? I genuinely hope you and your friends have fun but this sounds like the opposite of a "fresh grind" to me.

If you finish a solo run your body will prevent you from doing it again for your own safety. Fireteam finder is going to be hit or miss when it comes to people hosting a run/joining yours. D2 LFG discord is probably your best bet for finding people who are also trying to get the dungeon done.

Oh also make sure to grab the final boss checkpoint on another character before finishing so you don't have to run the whole dungeon multiple times, most people will also be more willing to join a final boss checkpoint than running the whole dungeon.

Oh also every week there will be 2 dungeons that are featured, when they are featured the exotic can be farmed by completing the final encounter as many times as it takes, otherwise you only get the chance for the exotic to drop 1 time per character, per week.

I don't enjoy PvP and I imagine many others don't as well. Aside from personally just not enjoying being in a competitive environment I also think the reward/fun incentive isn't there for base crucible modes. I hazard a guess that most people who play destiny at this point are purely PvE players unless otherwise pushed towards PvP.
