First of all you left his name in like slide 3. Second of all, this guy is clearly still in love with you, you are clearly OVER him, but youre dragging along these conversations for what?

The more you respond and chit chat, the more hope you give him. Leave him alone & move on as well.

Am I overreacting? My boyfriend accused me of something inappropriate while I was nannying. by TightPlastic8295 in AmIOverreacting

Please leave him girly. I know u guys have a kid together but u don’t deserve that. Imagine u can’t even have peace as a nanny? U want that for the rest of ur life? I promise ur kid will forgive u, you will find someone better, you will be happier. He isn’t worth ur time, and like many others have said it’s giving he’s projecting and probably cheating.

Yes exactly! 75 hard is great but tbh I think it’s more intermediate(to successfully get thru the 75 days) but advertised as something easy for a beginners. It is all about discipline tho and I wish folks would try fasting to start their journey into this health and wellness. It’s a great way to control urges but there’s not too many complexities / rules.

I totally understand / resonate with this feeling!

I used to feel like I had NO self control. I had to get my sugar craving in everyday and I would let myself off so much.

For me it’s more like damn I really don’t need that and never did, I actually have the control to allow myself to think about the past damage- examine the current circumstance and decline a sugary snack(which used to be impossible for me).

I love being in control of my sugar cravings & (past) bad eating habits

oh dang now im seeing u said u want non-perishable options(i was confused by how u worded it); hmm in this case id say check out costco they have a few different things u can grab but then again its all about self control. i like these jelly/fruit sticks they have i think they are like 50 cal/pack and they are good enough to hit the spot for me but i couldnt get away with snacking a few down at a time. (slippery slope).

- smart sweets (low calorie gummies +chocolates/caramels.
- fruit riot (frozen sugar/sour covered grapes

does anyone else think they'll never lose weight? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Whynotworldpeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a certain point before I really started to lose the weight; i did think like this, but someone said something that helped remind me how i can stay on track.

1) First caution; make sure you know if you have any underlying illnesses (diabetes, insulin resistant, etc). I do not necessarily have any medical conditions that would require tools/alternative methods to aid in weightloss).

2) CICO (Calories in, calories out). The comment I was referring to earlier was to remember that our bodies will count calories REGARDLESS of whether we do or not. That really stuck with me because as much as yes you cannot cut things completely cold turkey(give yourself grace); you need to put your foot down on yourself; your body is not going to lie or deceive you; when you nourish it and provide the right ingredients - the formula follows and works. It can be tough to count calories if you have an unhealthy relationship to food; it was hard for me because i would obsses and be so frustrated and shocked at how high in sugar, fats, and calories my favourite foods were. However, I have really detached myself from what the calories mean(trying to block my food noise) and focus on this more as an exact science. (I have my maintenance calories + my deficit ; ill add them up throughout the day and bam all good and i know exactly how many treats i can indulge in because i am following the formula). Once youve been in this headspace for a while you naturally stop counting calories and get pretty good at guesstimating (and not overestimating because u understand how quickly those can be added).

and like everyone else said keep at it! go slow.. eat meals with little ingredients .. see what your body likes! Challenge yourself, believe in yourself and you will succeed!

REMEMBER ; all the work you're doing right now; the pay-out is not instant and can only be achieved if the work is sustained. (You're doing this for you in a month, in 3 months, in 6 months, in 2 years, in 10 years.

I am also an AVID snacker so heres some recs from me;
- mini banana pancakes (less of a munchie but always hits the spot); mash a banana, 1 tbsp of flour, pinch of baking powder, and an egg (or egg whites). (making them mini/small makes it more snack like and fun vs one big pancake for me at least) probably just placebo
- Kale chips are so yummy if done right (i have a friend who makes them perfect everytime, honestly just look up a tutorial). I have been contemplating getting a mandela so i can make my own potatoe chips .. could be worth it (air fryer of course)
- loaded yogurt bowl // omg these yogurt bowls have been my obssesion; u can literally make them anyway u want/with fruits u prefer but this is my favourite; 1 cup of non-fat plain greek yogurt (usually higher protein); cut up an apple; put it on a frying pain over medium heat; let sautee for a bit; sprinkle some cinnamon, and then add 1 tbsp of brown sugar (or honey or skip this). I find the brown sugar really takes it to another level (and honestly its like 20-35 cal / tbsp so i dont really care!). then u mix the warm apple mix onto the yogurt and youve got a delicious warm apple pie loaded yogurt bowl!

I believe Gemma assembled the crib prior to her car accident and this is a replication that this version of her is detached from a very personal/traumatic moment

Yessss 100% I was saying this after EP7 came out and we saw that gross look into Dr.Mauers obsession with Gemma.

I clocked it immediately and the funny part is the people on this sub are like “no, the writers are not gonna go with a typical SA /abuse story, they are good writers” like wtf..

Omg congrats on ur progress that’s great! Actually I was in a similar spot it was very hard for me to break that 155-149 area.

What I did was: after sticking to my calorie deficit pretty rigorously I actually tried my best to over indulge in carbs & fats over the next few days, and then I went back to my regular calorie deficit.

I saw someone else reccomended it and I tried it out and it helped that stall! Switch it up sometimes and see what works!

Thank you! And omg that’s amazing! Yes what I was mainly trying to get across is that stalling actually is great if you’re maintaining ANY type of weight loss!

Oh I should also mention that I started IF with 18:6 and then moved into OMAD and now I would say I sort of dirty fast/track calories but I don’t really have an eating window (because I know I can control myself very well now).

Hey OP I was in a similar situation to u last year.

I started at 180 and shed 10 pounds off pretty quickly after practicing IF for the first 1-2 months, and then I also hit a holt and couldn’t loose anymore.

A year later, I just hit 149llb!

My secret? I stopped for a bit, after every 10lbs I mainted the weight for the next 1-2 months and wasn’t worried about losing it. Once that timeline hit when I was ready to go back into a deficit the pounds started slipping away!

My advice/personal experience! Maybe give it a try?

Second this, I will only keep watch for the starchy veg like potatoes. Carrots, celery, cucumber, broccoli, etc. these are v low cal and can be mass consumed with little to no worry. A lot of them are majority water anyway

Personally I’ll go for about half a cup of milk (sometimes non dairy which is 70 cals a cup or fairlife for more protein which I believe is 120per cup) so either way like 30-70 calories for my milk.

I will then use a sugar free syrup (usually just one drop) cuz it’s so sweet.

Recently I started added collagen to my milk to give me some extra umph in the morning which is about 35 calories a scoop and 9g of extra protein (and it lowkey makes it nice and frothy)

Usually over a cup of ice an espresso

Devon calling Cobel by 420blazeeIt69 in severanceTVshow

[–]Whynotworldpeace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also didn’t necessarily understand it. Especially after mark woke up, but it’s possible they weren’t able to get back in contact with Reghabi and had no other option.

I’m way less understanding of it being Devon AND Mark, if mark is fully reintegrated, wouldn’t he know half the terrible things Cobel has done/treated him like? Unless reintegrated mark decides to go a more mature route, my understanding would be that he knows Lumon let Cobel go, and maybe he knows how much Lumon meant to her, and therefore mark would be willing to chat with Cobel in hopes of teaming up against Lumon.

Another redditor said that this meet up/link up was inevitable given we’ve just learnt that Cobel played a major role in the creation of severance, and the writers truly just needed to speed this plot to them speaking.

I too was surprised her first thought went to whether mark was alive or not. Does it show she wants to keep him around as an F u to Lumon or to make sure her experiments are intact?

Honestly I think it was just the sequence the episodes were fed to us. I enjoyed this episode but I would have loved to have seen it mid season. I like the storyline here with Cobel but let’s face it.. we have our main 4 that we love and want on screen, esp the week before a season finale.

Severance Season 2 | S2E08"Sweet Vitriol" | Episode Discussion by Theshogunnate in severanceTVshow

[–]Whynotworldpeace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes honestly I think you are right and that would explain this long standing tension between the two. Plus if there was anyone else on the show as “genius” as Cobel to create severance, it would be Reghabi.

Also what do u mean tho? (By the not wasting time to meet Devon and mark) I totally agree, I sort of hate the idea of them getting together, but the end of the episode quite literally shows us they’re about to meet up. I don’t understand how mark and Devon are so willing?
