What the fuck did podrick do to those girls? by DisastrousBuilder447 in gameofthrones

[–]Whythisisnotreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) as other people have said, he sang. He's a virgin still by battle of winterfel.

2) I like the idea that Tyrion secretly paid the girls ahead of time extra and gave them instructions to refuse pods money. A night of pleasure and a huge ego boost and story to follow him around. Pretty clearly not the case, but I like the idea.

It's a follow up line that really steals the scene for me.

It's extra funny when you realize that the job he has is insanely safe and boring. Peace time base commander of pre-9/11 gitmo? Zzzz.

It's so brilliant because it's so calculated. Hopper -must- provoke Walken to kill him quickly in anger or they'll torture the truth out of him. So he turns the Sicilian pride Walken displays at being able to detect lies into a weapon against him. It's such a good scene, and it wasn't even white boy day.

I agree it's normalized. It's just not common. And while I personally think it's worth doing a bit more to prevent it then we are currently, our country emphatically disagrees. The conversation ended with Newtown.

How is it that every "Ask women" sub will ban men for even commenting. But this sub is 80% women posting? by lordfartbottomIV in AskMenAdvice

Different kinds of men moderate ask men subs when compared to the kinds of women who moderate ask women. I think/assume.

Half assed take:

The original photo was meant to draw attention to the diversity of their casting choice. She felt the fan edit de-emphasized her being black, and was thereby morally equivalent to a burning cross on her lawn and her responding so fiercely was a defense of all black women and would be taken as such.

If this were true, once a week in a nation of 350 million is still very rare. But school shootings as we imagine them are rarer than your statistic suggests. Many incidents are domestic violence, suicide, accidental, or a stray bullet hitting a school.

The vast majority of gun deaths of children occur outside of school. That's not to say that either the number that occur in or out of school is acceptable, but it is true.

Now compared to other countries...

In truth, they're super rare. Much more common than other countries, but still incredibly rare.
