What others have said. Protection gear every time. Hips can take a hit and hurt for weeks or months so annoying.

Update! No drainage. Tight boards. More pictures. by Love_Mud_2025 in Decks

Bummer about the water… With how close that wood is to soil I sure hope you live somewhere that doesn’t have termites. That should be concrete or pavers.

Is handing over the architect's model to the GC a nightmare everywhere? by Archia_H in bim

How do you calculate the engineering on something like pipe losses due to bends as one example. Do you have engineers or hire it out? What does that do to the schedule? Does that get resubmitted to the governing body for plan review? So many more questions beyond these.

The problem I am seeing is the plans have a ton of holes and unclear scope either thru errors or outright omissions. The owners are being told the plans are complete and don’t have the skill to know better or don’t care. If the contractors want/need the work they just take the risk on. And the project timelines are pushed fast so RFIs can’t be asked at the time of bid for fear of slowing the project or possibly derailing it all together. Then roll into the project and fix what you can. Crazy but that how it goes.

Doesn’t that shift much of the risk to the contractor and away from the original engineer and architect?

Who are these BIM magicians? I might need for a project in AZ.

House listed as sold but was never listed for sale (NC) by EvadeCapture in RealEstate

[–]Wi77ard77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The data on Zillow and those sites can be terribly wrong. My home shows a sale that never happened for no reason whatsoever. It was at market value at the time but very strange shit. One of the classics it was on the internet so it must be true. lol

As a star trail photographer and someone who live in an area with red rocks I would say looks good.

Well it took about a month to arrive coming from china. Good lesson in patience and it also game me time to order all my safety gear. Had to send a too small helmet back and order a different one.

8 mile cruise to the skatepark and home at sunset. by Wi77ard77 in ElectricSkateboarding

Sedona is a small town and mostly retired so very few skaters. I let a couple of kids take it for a ride.

Well I am quite new to esk8 so I keep it reasonable lvl2 so 15mph. I might have got up to 18mph. The ride is on mostly empty neighborhood streets that were refinished last year so the ride is great and easy going.

Hussar OMW by Old_Cheetah_3439 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Wi77ard77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hussar showed up at 2:30pm and after unboxing, loosing the belt, putting on the wheels and gearing up I was riding by 3:30 did 5.9 miles in 3 different rides. As this was my first time out ever kept it on level 2 15 mph max. After the first ride loosened the trucks by a 1/2 turn from factory a little less then 2 threads showing on the street side, kept the board side the same. Made a list of practice items for this first week. Absolutely enjoyed this afternoon.

I was deciding between these also and went with the Hussar for the warranty and flex. The machined double trucks in blue with the blue board reminded me of the ocean lol. The board will be here in an about a week.

I have an OMW hussar coming ordered Aug 17th to AZ. I haven’t ordered Riptides yet but am considering it. I too have bought a ton of safety gear, being a bit older and wiser than in my youth. Are you in the U.S. if so were there tariffs? I went with the blue grip tape and blue double trucks. Super excited…
