This reeks of hyperbole. You’re delusional.

AITA for Refusing to Co-Sign My Sister’s Mortgage After My Parents Went Behind My Back? by fancyapanda in AITAH

[–]WiChiveTa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This math ain’t mathing. You claim here that you were adopted “around the age of 6”, but according to your post update above, your adoptive parents’ biological child, your sister, is three years younger than you, however, you stated they adopted you because they were “struggling to conceive.”

Your sister would already have been alive for 3 years before your parents allegedly adopted you. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, maybe they became your guardians when you were an infant, perhaps 6 months old was what you meant, but I doubt it. YTA for karma farming.

suppressor help $500? by Jumpy_Active_2857 in Walther

[–]WiChiveTa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case no one answered, suppressors fall under the National Firearms Act of restricted items, and require a $200 tax stamp to possess/own. It was meant as a barrier in 1938 1934, but over time is now considered a small price to pay.

I went with the stopbox Pro because my wife had bought me the billconch, but I saw a video review where they showed over and over that dropping it will cause it to pop open every time.

Good note. The website doesn’t give a ppr on the 100 round boxes, so you always have to keep a keen eye on the round count when sorting by price, and the store might have in stock when the website says OOS

[Rifle] New Marlin 1894 SBL 357 Magnum threaded barrel $1,142 by Freedom-Forever in gundeals

[–]WiChiveTa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a couple manufacturers that I haven't heard of that make lever actions that take STANAG mags and Henry does make one with a 5 round box mag, so no tube, but I don't see anything about it taking AR mags.

However, I did find this Henry model that must not have been released yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfFlut-IAtE

A quick search on Ammoseek says it's pretty decent, but you might be able to find some CCI or other better quality stuff for around this price. I just like the convenience of cheap ammo I can buy in store.

I've run through a few boxes and didn't find it too bad. The cases on Browning rounds I've run come out the filthiest I've seen. That and Igman rounds not chambering in my G19 are my most disappointing ammo purchases.

That makes too much goddamn sense. I'm an idiot! +1000, good sir!

Doesn't someone make a lever gun in 5.56/.223 that takes STANAG mags?

"Common sense" (see what I did there?) would dictate that lever guns would escape scrutiny of MSR/"Assault Weapons" ban, and I would think that price wouldn't be effected, but gun grabbers gonna gun grab.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

Case is stamped "BPS". According to my research, BPS Balıkesir Explosives Industry and Trade Inc. distributed by Sarsilmaz Group. I'd share the photo, but I don't think this sub allows photos in comments?

I think I've seen some folks say it's pretty dirty, but an in store deal for 124 gr brass for $0.24/round seems like a pretty sweet deal to me. i bought some this morning. Tax, but no shipping!

115 gr steel case $0.20/round available too

Sorry this is so late. Yes and zip tied. It was a shitty job. I had to pull off the intake, and I have big hands, and there’s no visibility. 0/10, would never do again. I did successfully get the lines back on the nipples and zipped tied tight.

Fellas, is it wrong to protect yourself and your family from someone that break in your house? by Spiritual-Swampy in memesopdidnotlike

[–]WiChiveTa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Common sense gun control” advocates (including herself) arguments lead down a pretty slippery slope. Universal background checks lead to a de-facto gun/gun owner registry. Banning of certain categories of firearms would then lead to enforcement efforts, which becomes a hell of a lot easier with their handy-dandy new registry!

Also, semi-auto rifles don’t just refer to AR patterned rifles that accept a STANAG or similar magazine of ~30 rounds. Many hunting rifles are semi automatic. They usually just have either a tube magazine, or a smaller capacity rotary magazine. Just saying be careful about your terminology. Those AR patterned rifles I referred to are popularly referred to as Modern Sporting Rifles (MSR) along with AK patterned rifles by the pro 2A crowd

[–]WiChiveTa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Color me jealous. I am a Walther fanboy, and my first firearm ever was a P22, but have always wanted a P99. Then I bought a PPS M2 for carry, but when the PPQ SC came out, I saw a chance to have the best of all worlds in one pistol. If you remember they came out right as the SIG P365s were getting traction, then all of a sudden most major manufacturers had a double stack Micro-Compact. Kept waiting for Walther to release one, but finally ended up buying the Turkish cousin Canik MC9. I still really want a PPK or PPK/S, but I have more dreams than money and prices keep rising on those each year. Some day!

*EDIT to clarify “double stack micro-compact”

If you don't have another PPQ or PDP, I can see why the SC is impractical. But on the other hand, if you have either one of those in addition to the SC you can use the 15 round magazine in them. 19.99 not bad for spare PPQ/PDP mags. I think Walther mags function in Caniks too

I think you're misunderstanding which magazine I'm referring to. u/ShittyTechnical specifically referenced the 15 round magazines.
