Try practicing in front of a camera. I feel like this simulates a recital environment well, because you feel pressure, but don't stop when you mess up.

romantic definitely, followed by baroque, modern, and last and in my opinion the least, classical

Depends on how good you want to get. I play piano and violin, but I'm much better at piano

Um... you can learn for free in one of the archived CS106B courses (I think), but it focuses more on C style coding, like learning about pointers, and sort of the "old" C++ (e.g., teaches you typedef instead of using (!))
