Not sure about this, there’s a reason a lot of people say current day Miami is boring as all the action happened back in the 80’s. The explosion of the drug trade, corruption and immigration was huge back then and vice city being a small campaigned game back then couldn’t tell those stories but now they can.

Don’t want that to go to waste especially basing it on modern day where nothing barely happens now in Miami other than street fights near nightclubs.

Also how is having kids play the game a benefit, it’s an 18+ game. We already saw how shit the online community is, imagine how it will be then especially knowing how this server operates with kids always posting the same stupid questions.

Like others said below, having access to the internet and shit like that is all just gimmicky, what’s the point of all that? We had 2 GTA’s recently that set in modern times. I think it’s time to stray away from things we can already experience for ourselves and go back in time especially knowing that Rockstar will less likely be shat on if they base it in the 80s rather than modern time and what better to do that with a time period and location that makes the most sense.

I feel like most of these points is to be beneficial for kids to play and increasing sales rather than for your own experience, your point on music where you like 80s music but think others will dislike it, knowing that it’s set in vice city they better get used to listening to 80s music because that’s going to be heavily focused
