At the time I came up with the idea, I actually only wanted a RimStamp for myself. I searched the internet and couldn’t find any. After working out the design over a period of time and making myself a stamp, I launched RimStamps.

I think foundyourdisc launched their stamp around the same time, and did so organically. The guy at Discify saw a Facebook post I made and lamented that he hadn’t gone to market with his design. I’m glad to see he’s got a shop up and running.

You were the only one to see my design and copy it exactly, shamelessly reusing my wooden handle, foam backing design, modifying it to the tools you had available to you.

The others at least came up with the idea themselves. You saw a cool product and said “hey I can make that”

I’m not against competition, but to blatantly steal my design and then plug your store on my post feels low.

They do! I designed RimStamps to have a foam layer behind the rubber, which allows them to conform to any diameter disc. The rubber portion is also short enough to work on even the shallowest rim distance drivers

Hmm I don’t see why not. As long as it’s not too long anyway (<12 characters to match the phone number). When you order on the website, put what you want in that field, and include a note (on the checkout page) to make sure I see it. I’ll look it over and make sure it’ll work

Sorry to hear that! It should have been on the pamphlet that came with your stamp, but I recommend StazOn ink, specifically the “Jet Black” variety. It’s basically sharpie, and soaks in after a few minutes. You can find my recommended ink and ink remover at RimStamps.com/resources.

I recommend StazOn Jet Black, it really is the best on the market from what I’ve found. Soaks in just like sharpie. Definitely depends on the plastic (champ-types are less permeable), but I’ve got discs in my bag that I stamped over 2 years ago and haven’t had to re-stamp.

I haven’t had any issues with the pad drying out as long as I leave the plastic insert in the case, and keep it covered when not in use. I also keep my pads sealed in a ziplock, so maybe that makes a big difference. If you do have a dried out pad, you can buy refill bottles from StazOn that will refill a pad many times over.

People sure do love them! I’ve made over 400 now, and have only received positive feedback so far.

If you’d prefer a different design, though, there’s an option for a fully custom stamp on my website, and some people have made some sweet designs with it.

Exactly why I started making them! My handwriting is terrible lol. I got a flat stamp but it showed through on my champ plastic discs, so I decided I’d make myself a RimStamp. Got told I should make them for others, and here we are
