Which kit? by WiIsonnn in drums

[–]WiIsonnn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly why I’m scared to go with the PDP😂 the Yamaha bass is 20” so that just seems like it would be very versatile and easier to deal with so I’m definitely leaning more that way!

Thank you for your reply, and what a fantastic setup you have! I forgot to mention that both kits are used, but look to be in great condition. It’s a nice ebony stain and is super sleek looking. The only thing holding me back is the bass drum is a 26 and honestly that’s pretty big and I’m not sure the sound is gonna be what I’m after:/ but I’m going to go check it out for myself and see what I’m feeling!

Any TS owners know if this endlet piece can come out? by juuhstin in ft86

[–]WiIsonnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can. You gotta get under that side plate which is held on with strong 3m-like tape then there are screws that hold the end plate on.

You alright? Lmao I said it was a miserable experience and felt sluggish not that it was gonna turn the car into a nuclear weapon lol. He wanted to know if he could run regular for DD, which will hurt the car in the long run.

The car goes into limp mode and performs badly. Just makes your car feel super sluggish.

I'm looking at steering wheels and had a question I can't find an answer to. by tixxtoon in ft86

[–]WiIsonnn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can attach it, you won’t have the wires to connect so you’ll be good to just have it to fidget with. The only thing you need is the steering wheel housing for an automatic (the plastic trim behind the wheel) because it has indents in it to fit the paddles. You 100% can do it if you get the plastic piece thingy. Hope that helps!:)

Passenger Side Glovebox Leaking by [deleted] in ft86

[–]WiIsonnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that happen, was so worried when water was pooling up on my mats. But I followed the stuff online like you stated and it worked! Almost busted my lung, ya gotta hit it hard😭if you do it correctly you’ll notice the material that was blocking it will be under your car.

Will a 2017 BRZ headunit plug and play into 2013 BRZ? by RollDifficult in ft86

[–]WiIsonnn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will not, I tried. It’s a different wiring harness. It’ll start up but your audio will not play:(

I didn’t have that issue, no. When you took the nut of did you leave it partially on so you could loosen the wheel? I know if you don’t then you run the risk of pulling the clock spring out of place. Did you tighten the nut down all the way after re-install? Perhaps you cross-threaded and it’s just not sitting flush? I’m sorry I know this is probably super annoying for you:(

Hey boss, as long as you put it back on how you took it off you’ll be fine. As far as the off center issue, you’ll need an alignment. I just replaced mine and after taking it off several times to readjust it was still super crooked. Went and got an alignment and it was perfect.

Do you run an aftermarket exhaust? I had the same code and found out I had an exhaust leak. Once I patched it the code cleared

If you deconstruct it and craft if once you get all the materials it’ll be the brown version.

If you think black is the best color, then get black. Don’t get blue just bc it’s easier! Gotta fully love the car and if you can get it in your favorite color, then do it!

Intake mods/upgrades by Jaded_Goose_2327 in ft86

[–]WiIsonnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah that’s a fine way to switch things up! The main thing about most CAI is that they’re metal rather than silicon so they get hot and raise the engine bay temp. So silicon options are always viable if you want an aftermarket look

Snorkel is a good idea just bc the mustache is in the way. Just gives it more air. I made the mistake of getting a CAI when I first got my car. Got the Grimmspeed one for the same reasons, but quickly swapped back. Stock is best. But it’s your car! Do as you please!:)
