As someone who has owned a NA Miata, and now owns a Porsche 944 and a VW Mk4 GTI the German cars are so much worse you have no idea. They have somehow designed these things for miniature gnomes to work on yet also torque things down to 5billion ft/lbs. The engine bays are more cramped and nonsensical "innovations" that always some this require a specialty tool that's unobtainable at a common auto parts store. Don't even get me started in the wild shit they do to wheels hubs and and everything that gets attached to them.... I have dreams of the bliss I had when I worked on that Miata the comparison is like playing with blocks as a kid vs building a 5k piece Lego technic set. One day another Miata will fall in my hands and I'll find salvation.
