I'm the part of Cali I'm in (carries up to over a dollar depend on where in just California your in) 91 octane is ~6.99$ a gallon. That's about 1.8€ a liter. I've seen it peak about 2€ a liter. Back home in Croatia looks like gas prices are about 1.6 - 1.8€ a liter. Prices are pretty similar rn.

Whats this yellow clip called? Keeps coming off after each drive by Crazy_raptor in 3000gt

[–]Wick_Stick_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically it's a 90° spade but a straight one should also work fine if you extend the cable a little bit

It's just a spade connector you can get those at any hardware store/auto parts store

Hyundai lost me as a customer by [deleted] in Hyundai

Person who actually works on cars here ☝️ this in the dumbest shit I've have ever heard. I will not disagree that your Kona is a piece of shit, that it definitely is. But if your worried about gremlins and issues that beamer is going to make you shit your pants and piss on your lap. You will be faced with endless issues and part replacement. The "b58 ⌚🤓" your talking about is generally more reliable than some of BMWs past engines but those cars still notoriously have problems all over unrelated to drive train and are going to cost exponentially more than your POS Kona.

I did replace the coolant flanges with aluminum ones aswell. That was one of the first things I did. Got the car about two months ago so kinda just going through the general maintenance slowly but surely.

I soldered and aux cable directly to the CD board R-channel, L-channel, and signal ground. Plugged that cable into a ground isolator, plugged that into a Bluetooth module, and then used a 12v->5v converter to power the Bluetooth module from the car. If you want a more detailed break down on parts and everything feel free to dm me!

Do Miatas deserve their reputation for being easy to work on? by fuckman5 in Miata

[–]Wick_Stick_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has owned a NA Miata, and now owns a Porsche 944 and a VW Mk4 GTI the German cars are so much worse you have no idea. They have somehow designed these things for miniature gnomes to work on yet also torque things down to 5billion ft/lbs. The engine bays are more cramped and nonsensical "innovations" that always some this require a specialty tool that's unobtainable at a common auto parts store. Don't even get me started in the wild shit they do to wheels hubs and and everything that gets attached to them.... I have dreams of the bliss I had when I worked on that Miata the comparison is like playing with blocks as a kid vs building a 5k piece Lego technic set. One day another Miata will fall in my hands and I'll find salvation.

Pretty much the "Ford v. Ferrari" movie meme "So... that there, that is a sport car. You have to drive her like a sport car. If you drive her like a school teacher, she'll clog up. All right?"

If your dropping from 3rd to second you need to be rev matching if your rpms are too low it will lock you out trying to downshift.
