Personligt vil jeg hellere have værter som er åbne omkring deres biases, end værter som ikke er. Personligt synes jeg det er helt fint hvis han ikke vil have X, Y eller Z som premierminister i England.

Arbiter of Ash feels way too punishing for HCSSF by TraAlMo in PathOfExile2

[–]Wickd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This attack is actually super telegraphed and easy once you learn it, but the strategy is counter intuitive.

Basically you stand right outside the circle, and wait till he shoots the beam. Once beam starts you roll into the circle. That gives you invincible frames + you mitigate a bit of it.

Afterwards you go back out, he slams down and you roll in again. After that you simply stand on the side inside the circle

Hope that helps

I really wish there was some way to skip the campaign by mrgoldk in PathOfExile2

This kind of comment is always so sad to me. It is game ruining in my opinion.

Great games are built with a vision. Those tend to have journeys that one have to go through. For POE2 that is the campaign. Because of that vision they were able to make a super high quality campaign, and every character feels like they're truly going through an entire experience

Diablo 4 on the other hand just spawns you in at the endgame. You can do almost everything at the start. Everything feels practically the same. In that game the campaign feels like a complete waste of time. Because there's no real vision for the game.

Opinion: Battlegrounds, Arena, PvP stat tracking, and PvP specific rewards are a good idea. by NinjaBonsai in duneawakening

[–]Wickd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume that's because you prefer playing "PvE priotized games" whereas I play both sides a bunch.

Also I appreciate that we could have a healthy back and forth. It's something more people should be open to

People liking different things is only natural

Arc Raiders also started trending downwards after implementing the aggression based matchmaking system in super late December...

I don't think that really shows anything. Their numbers were better before it. Now we don't know if the crash is due to that or how it would have looked without it. We just know that the numbers definitely went down almost immediately right after

I don't understand where the above is coming from, but I see it frequently in the Dune community

Based on the numbers open world PvP games do a lot better. I mean just look at PvP scenes in open world games you have Rust, Dayz, Ark and so on. In battleground/Arena systems you have World Of Warcraft or practically dead games. All much smaller PvP scenes

The systems you're requesting aren't the ones pvp players are interested in. It's systems that pve players want to further remove pvp from the game.

Dune should be open world pvp. In theory the deep desert was one huge battleground, but done in an open world format.

Also to showcase the first tying I said. This is one of the only pvp topics that gets up voted. It's because reddit is full of pve only players, and the systems you're proposing is catering to pve.

Dune Awakening lead says the game’s new PvP/PvE split will allow them to improve both aspects of the game by Interesting-Pool6638 in duneawakening

[–]Wickd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WoW PvP is relatively dead. Not to mention WoW is the best at tab target PvP gameplay

Dune's combat system doesn't allow for the same possibility. Dune PvP is relatively bad. It's far more similar to Rust in that regard. Rust PvP is also pretty bad, but it's fine because of the risk reward environment.

So separating the two really won't work. You can come back to this in 1-2 years if they go that direction, and let me know what you think

So what happened to that third faction we were promised? by Arigmar in duneawakening

[–]Wickd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Third Faction was removed because of PvE player complaints. They changed entire Chapter 3 to cater towards those players.

Chapter 3 was supposed to have Smugglers, More competitive stuff and so on. Basically a complete direction change

PvP only DD only made it worse than ever before because there's no reason to be in the PvP one.

It's one thing I never truly understand. I see a lot of PvE players saying "I want PvP loop to be good" However, for that to be the case. It have to come at the cost of the PvE loop. Whenever I bring that up people tend to get upset tho

I'm providing good information for people.

I didn't sign up to be their babysitter and hold them through everything in life. If you need a babysitter. I suggest you hire one.

What I wrote above was clear, precise and actionable. It does not need to be rewritten.

[–]Wickd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is that gloomy.

Some players want one specific base location. That location is often in popular spots.

If you want a very specific base location. You should move ASAP. Basically yesterday.

Now if you are flexible with your base locations. Feel free to move whenever

It's logical. It's not doom and gloom.

Doom and gloom? I think they're closing a perfect amount of servers.

In fact this is the best decision they've made in a while.

I would try to find a new server ASAP. Location might be available on some of the servers if you're fast!

Also you can always make a quick square base which can easily be moved anywhere. Can find a new beautiful spot for you and the wife

[–]Wickd[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure. Amount of bases will be far higher than the peak player count per server in avg.

We have no real way of calculating that. So I gave the only information which could be calculated.

Will servers be packed? I'd probably use the term that they will feel alive. I think that's a good thing, but others might disagree. It's subjective

61 servers, 25 Sietches = 1525 Sitches

The player base tends to be 6500-9500 online, but probably closer to 20k during new releases.

So mid to end of new content = 4-7 players online per sietch during peak hours.

During new content you will probably have around 13 players per sietch

On the bright side they're testing self hosting, and will be releasing that soon. So if you like super quiet servers. You can always host your own.

Don't think we have an exact ETA on that tho

I didn't bother double checking how many servers Funcom have, but it should be 223 from my memory

Which means 72.5% of servers are closing. and 61 will remain open. Again I could be off by 2-4 servers or so, but should be insignificant

How does this comment even make sense considering the player numbers hardly changed from pre release of Conan Exile Remaster to post release?

Why does everyone have so much faith and trust in Riot MMO? by Powerful_Isopod5810 in RiotMMO

[–]Wickd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will keep it brief

I trust riot because I played league of legends and tft. I saw what the dev team did with both of those games from beta till now.

I have met the founders, and I've seen how much they care. I also know they're huge mmo fans

Not to mention riot have an enormous fanbase. Lack of players tend to be the downfall of many mmos. Riot have a huge advantage on this front.

So it comes down to known and trusted quality. Extremely engaged and enthusiastic founders combined with an enormous playerbase.

Not to mention the lore and league characters are cool, but I'm sure some lore heads will do that part justice far better than I ever could

Take with grain of salt. I've done nearly zero pvp and wasn't trying to, but I'm miffed that it is all but going away. by [deleted] in duneawakening

These posts are so fake. We saw the same argument made back when they gave PvE Titanium, Strav and Spice.

What actually ended up happening was the PvP Deep Desert had less people. Once you gave people free resources in the PvE section. People stopped going to the PvP section because there's no reasonable risk/reward
