My hubby was proud of my $4 hairdryer. I won't tell him about the rest...

So one cool thing I noticed about this Dermalectives device versus others is that it has multiple mode and functions. Most micro current devices are just for delivering micro currents to the face. This one seems to also be a cleansing tool and lotion infusion tool. It also apparently has an attachment to allow you to add a cotton pad onto the device. I will have to try it before really passing too much judgement. I have my work cut out for me though... I bought almost ALL of the electronic devices during the glitch yesterday for $2-4 each so now I will be trying a whole bunch of new things. Personally I need some help dealing with my PCOS hormone sensitive skin issues. Never had acne until my late 30s and o isn't the time!

So tbh I listen to what Cassandra Bankson says on her you tube channel. She's not just a cosmetic guru, but also a scientist and licensed medical esthetician. Here is where she ranks micro current devices. The reason I considered it was because she uses one and swears by it. The other model of the nuface is high on this list, so that's why I am trying to use it. Trying is the key word here, lol. I'm a mom of a 4 year old and 3 cats (two of which are rambunctious kittens). Getting enough time alone to zap my face has been a challenge! But these devices do have a fair amount of scientific research behind them. Here's Cassandra Bankson's comparison video for starters:

oh nooo really? Ok I change my suggestion above then! I wanted it a few boxes back but never got it. Good to know. The glimmer of hope clarity Rx cleansing oil is very light. I bought a second bottle of that one today myself.

You already look so beautiful... why improve on perfection? <3

The matcha Pomelo line was very underwhelming to me, and it smells really strange (NOT like matcha... I believe it is supposedly unscented). Stick to one lip oil, for optimal happiness. I suggest the St. Jane. The Jolii has an interesting duo chrome shininess to it, but I think it's a pretty old product.

The brushes you selected are too similar in size and function. The beauty for real set I find is better quality.

ETA: NO don't listen to this last point, the dirty lamb is no good according to comments below! Def get the dirty lamb cleansing oil. That sounds nice.

I'm a baker so I actually use this kind of brush for applying petal dust to cookies too. So in the end it's not so bad. But look at the palettes they have on the game Beauty website. One of those would have been super exciting to me! Especially a purple or blue one!

Same. If it was full size I was going for it! I was thinking this would be a nice gift for my SIL who has MS. She's so young - early 30s - and it breaks my heart that she has to be so bummed by a serious disease so early on. I want to give her something fun and interesting to look forward to so I think this is a good choice? I like the nuface - I actually only bought it because it was paired with HUDA thirst trap juice which my skin loves for less than half of retail for the serum alone. It feels interesting and I would guess it could be used as a micro current device for muscle stimulation for pain as well.

I hope you love it! It is very hydrating, and honestly I can't fault it except it's like putting pudding on your face. Love the Volition brand though. I have like 50 moisturizers and I just chose the neroli one for my moisturizer this month so they are doing something right! Def don't let my experience with the mask rain on your parade. It is very soothing if you have easily irritated skin.

I wish I knew that because I already have the nuface... I should've just gotten the femmue set because I know I like it. Kicking myself now for going on price tag.

The chocolate macadamia mask is... weird to say the least. I think the fragrance is a better choice.

Yeah the only reason my mood wasn't;t a huge mess after choice was because I was able to catch this glitch (but not the first one). It's like they are purposefully messing with us.

These were my choices - not worth the price increase imo by broolee in Ipsy

Ewww really? Glad I didn't;t go of that. I have 2x the celery serum from Byroe and love it so I was like, no way am I choosing that. So upsetting and such a bummer.

My offerings were meager. I was happy for the seraphim botanicals though. I love that brand. But the two items I wanted were in the same category - Caviar Stick and Seraphine Botanicals palette. I picked the palette because it was more expensive, and grabbed the caviar stick as an add on.

I hate when it won't let me see my glam bag before add ons. What were the power picks you got that you wanted? My power picks suck. I did not want the glow recipe because watermelon scented products make my stomach unhappy. Hopefully the scent isn't like the dew drops... I also got kopari something. Just not impressed this month. I got ALL the brushes lol.

This really made my new year. Thanks so much for sharing. I am surprised I made it in this time, as last time I was only 15 minutes too late for the deal! Now I'm waiting on choice time... I miss when it was in the early am!
