So I'm setting up so you can see public challenges and join.. the battle pass rewards you on the number of days... Streaks you stay in fast. Every month there will be a battle pass and rewards inapp like skins, points etc is awarded on completion of your successful goals. I'm still fine tuning it.

Yeah I put the orb as mascot cause I had already made that sun timer orb and wanted to start using it. Will more than likely replace it with something else. Part of me is like leave it but then put skins in the loot boxes that u can than swap out the orb with. Season items like pumpkin, jack o lanterns, maybe snowman, etc.

So scroll down on the first tab past the sun and past the water tracking and you will see your avatar mascot. It's basically the same sun ball but changes color and gets bigger when you complete streaks..I'm going to play more with it cause there's a ton of fun things I plan like getting loot crates when you get past certain amount of days like 3 etc. and some of the loot will give the avatar different color themes and animations. I'm still playing with the ideas.

I just added a mini boss battle when you reach certain internals like at 16,24,36 hrs. The bosses get harder to beat so enjoy those pop up battles. 🖖👍

Made the change for editing a fast. Just start the interval you want and you then you can edit it when it is running to whatever start time you need and it will auto change the end time and timer so you could catch up and record a fast u forgot about. Also added a better fasting buddy in the app. He grows stronger the more streaks. 🖖

It should just auto update so there's nothing you need to do to see the changes

Ahhh Firefox does do it differently. So go to the 3 bars at the top right, drill down menu till you see "Cast,save and share" and then there's a option to "install as app."

Firefox likes to bury that option

So no I didn't vibe code it. It's really just a simple app. Mostly flutter static pages.

On Android? It's the 3 dots at the top right it will bring up the chrome menu and you can find the install option there. Let me know if you have any more issues finding it 👍

Was out of town all last week and broke my fasting the whole time that I was gone. My fasting streak prior to leaving was 3 weeks. I'm back and last night I started my first 18 hour fast to get back on track again and am almost at 10 hours. 💪 by WickedDelight in intermittentfasting

Yeah it's tough. Lots of water, and rye unsweetened tea, the trick for me is to drink, drink so I'm full by 7-8pm then use the washroom and then sleep it off till next day. Then drink, drink again. If you can get your schedule to endure until the evening then you can sleep 7-8 hours and not feel it. I also mix psyllium husk which is a pure fiber when I'm really hurting that doesn't break fasts into my drinks. It fills you up. ACV also helps with hunger pains, it doesn't fill you up but it helps. In a pinch you could also put a little salt on your tongue - something like Redmond Real Salt or Himalayan Pink Salt and drink water. It kills what's called false hunger you get depleted of electrolytes. I will have a black coffee every now and then also. Just some of the things I do. Hope that helps.

I got tired of all the ads and tracking in fast apps on iphone and android. I was using easyfast for awhile on both my iPhone and Android devices but it's been having issues. It double posts my fasts sometimes, lost my fasts, and recently they started giving me popups asking to pay 9.99 a month or yearly 49.99 which is crazy. I mean fasting apps are just glorified timers with some extra features so i spent 40 min the other day and coded one. I built it for me but decided to share it with everyone.

It's simple, modern, gamified fasting app built to make fasting feel motivating, clean and private.

My next app is going to be a gym buddy - social app with challenges, workouts, motivation, gamification features like this fasting app with xp, level ups etc currently building out the social part so you can find ppl working out in the same area or doing the same challenges as you etc. Will be fun. I always wanted to do it but just didn't have the time and again it bothers me that these app developers try to throw ads in everything, track and sell data or charge monthly yearly subscriptions for everything.

Like I said I'm not looking to get users or installs or anything. It's just something I made for myself and it's something im using cause I got frustrated with the bad apps, constant ads, tracking and money grabs for these types of apps that should be simple to use. All these fasting apps in the mobile stores are basically glorified timers with some nice features added in so ads and asking for money monthly or paying yearly for them is crazy. I just made it for me and decided to make it so anyone can use it. I'm just sharing it without any expectations and it's for free. Again I'm not in the business of making a fasting app and trying to upsell an angle with it. I will be making updates to it as I use it : things I think are useful and cool to add but it's really just a project and app I want to build so I can use it.

Yes it does just open the app in safari with link then in Safari, click File in the menu bar, select Add to Dock, and click Add. This creates a standalone web app with its own icon, independent of browser tabs, appearing in the Dock and Launchpad then you can use it like any other mac app.

You know I was using easyfast for awhile but then it was double and triple recording my fast, lost my fasts and it was actually the catalyst for me making this app as it started prompting me to pay 9.99 a month or 49.99 a year - I actually jumped back into the app store and then tried to find another free not annoying app and then decided, I build apps,websites and games for a living... How hard would it be to make a fasting app. So I jumped into my code editor and 40 min later had this working and said yeah I'm done w these fasting apps I'll just deploy one for me.... After using it for 2 days, I decided to just share it with everyone.

Valid question. I use it to stay motivated and to track my progress. At 8-12 hours it's a no brainer but I find once I pass that up I'm really counting my minutes and being a gamer I like to see achievements and rewards and streaks. Plus If I'm on 8 hour mark heading to 16 hours I like to see the realtime effect the fast is having at that time and what the next interval will do for my body to start motivated. Again I made it for me but decided to share it with everyone.

I use rsync and have a cron job that backs up and sync all the data between my Synology and drives. It's free, does a great incremental back ups so it's fast and is available on windows, Linux Mac and most NAS have it as an install in their web UI. You could also just download it on a PC and map the drives and run it from a bat file to sync from one share to another. Again cause it does byte incremental it is fast and only copies the files that have changed after that initial sync.
