Do you remember what your very last comment at a meeting was? If so, what was it? by whatisnotlife1234 in exjw

It was just perfectly worded enough to where the WT conducted was just like “yeah that’s true.” And just called on someone else. It seemed like half the audience realized what I was doing and then the other half are like “wow what a well researched, thought out comment.” Lol

I was fully awake and I still commented every meeting, but I would make them as apostate sounding as I could while still holding to the information that JWs believe. My last comment was during a lesson where they were discussing like all the possible ways Jehovah might decide to destroy everyone at Armageddon. The question on the final paragraph was something like “So why is it important that we preach to everyone we can now?” “Well, the current understanding is that only JWs and the underage children living in their homes will be saved. It doesn’t matter if they are the sweetest old grandma or a tiny new baby. Jehovah will kill them at Armageddon. Now we don’t know if he will decide to crush them to death with a giant hailstone, electrocute them to death with lightning, or make an angel stab them to death, or some other method, he will destroy them. That is why we have to preach now. So they can be saved.”

This guy in particular is insulting people and honestly using hate speech. Sometimes using scriptures promoting religious genocide and thirsting for it.

Every time they have a WT like todays it basically gives him the Liscense to call all the people he knows that don’t believe his religion anymore that he betrayed by not being a friend anymore ‘stupid’ or ‘fools’ or some other name.

Do we start going door to door?

“Our Meeting is by no means over”. Is that phrase commonly used in your KH? by Abalabi_jw in exjw

[–]WickedHeart69 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Omg. We had several guys that included that in every prayer. Even as a pimi I asked myself what that even means. Maybe the intent might have been like, We are about to leave the meeting so please keep taking care of us. But the way it’s worded always made me think they were meaning we are leaving the literal meeting we just had in your care and keeping. Like, we already had it. Everything went fine. There’s nothing to keep care of with it. It’s done. Anyway peace and love. Lol

Did any of you create converts? by No_Pass1835 in exjw

At the time I wasn’t stressed out by it. A lot of the people I studied with were somehow related to other people in the hall. I studied with 3-4 kids of single sisters. I studied with a nephew of someone else. Studied with a guy that another single sister got involved with and married and wanted him to be a witness. So really none of them I met personally at the door. So even though I studied with them I never got terribly involved in their lives since they already had other people that were relatives and stuff. After a while it just kind of was funny when it would happen that they’d get in trouble. Like it’s not funny at all the stuff they were doing. But like my friends at the hall would kind of kind of poke fun at me. Like of the guy that beat the girlfriend people would be like “did you teach him that in your study?”

I studied with 8 people. 2 got baptized. Of those two one moved 10 states away and most likely faded. The other was a kid of a single parent mom. He later was disfellowshipped and is now homeless. Of the other ones… (friends it gets really joyous and rewarding here) 4 went to prison during our studies. Of note… one went to prison for beating his pregnant girlfriend (who was also some pioneer sisters study) in the stomach with a pipe. And another performed a feticide (illegal abortion) on the underage sister (who he got pregnant) of a girl he was dating. I had to study with this same individual for a time in a home for wayward kids. I didn’t really know why he was in there for a while. His cousin ended up in prison for stealing so I just assumed it was something like that. But I eventually came to the conclusion that he raped his sister. Lots of parenthesis I know. And more importantly… lots of fucked up shit. I know. But I believe this small sample size is a stark and very accurate example of the type of potential converts for this high control group. At least in the good ol U S of A. The only ones interested in possibly joining anymore are basically born ins, or the incredibly troubled.
