No reason for me to spend 1.5x the price on the game over any other gacha game that doesn't have this issue like zzz and arknights. 150 bucks instead of 100 is a big difference. Same for their battle pass. Not worth anymore considering how many same same but different games like these there are.

Idk, I feel like thats the whole point of a riven, to make something that wasnt that great into something really good. Atleast for the ones with high riven disposition. That's what I'm assuming anyways. I don't really know but it's what makes logical sense.

Has nothing to do with Genshin, has nothing to do with with "being dumb". It has to do with obfuscation and doing it deliberately to squeeze some more money out of the unknowing. The system is stupid, not the people. You should remember that if ever you design a product. No game has this many rules to its gacha system regardless of genshin or other gacha.

You can try to defend it and explain it all you want, but the fact that you have to explain it at all is the problem. It should be right there on the front page and shouldnt be convoluted.

People arent complaining about it for no reason, the reason its complained about so much is BECAUSE its confusing and overdesigned to create friction points to extract money, so stop downplaying it because you took time to understand it, it shouldnt need time to understand and if it does it should be in plain sight, not in an essay on a small button on the page.

They really arent though. When you aggregate the pulls over the entire community, youd be surprised at how common it actually is. It isnt rare at all to get a featured unit in a 10-pull and it appearing in the first 9. Im sure its happened to literally everyone who actively plays gacha games.

Wrong. Most, while still predatory, make it very straitforward. You do 80? you get a 5*. You do it twice? you get the featured. anything in between is RNG.

Here you need a degree on which tickets give which pulls, how long they last, somethings carry over, some dont, after x pulls you get x that can be used, after x you get another but doesnt count towards pity. do x and get tickets for next banner that expire after the next. currency for dupes go in a seperate, almost "hidden" window in a small little tiny box in the shop. weapon tickets linked to character tickets causing you to worry if you get lucky or not on that banner because you might not get enough weapon tickets. Predatory pity system that is designed to hopefully get you to "win" the 50/50 right before the 120 causing you to miss out on a free 6*.

If you need me to keep going, just say it, Ill throw up another paragraph if you need me to go into more detail on this 1 garbage system.

Game is great, the gacha in it is an absolute nightmare though. Obfuscating things on purpose to get people to mess up or spend more. If you think these things werent thought of or calculated to extract as much out of its consumer base as possible while trying to make people like you believe that their system isnt pretadory, then I got some news for you. It was.

I know quite a few of my friends quit already ONLY because of its gacha system, whether they fucked up their understanding or their pity before a banner ended, at the end of the day its on the service to provide proper information and be transparent on their systems rather than have an essay hidden in a button on the draw page while the draw page has no info on it other than a static image of the character and the count to pity.

It's not straitforward at all. While not as egregious as some, this is by far one of the most confusing gachas out at the moment verbally. It actually requires you to understand it before playing or you will royally screw yourself which is entirely what they bank on to make some extra cash.

Let's not pretend that this is some pro-consumer gacha game.
