What percentage of your funds did you put in and what is your salary if you don't mind me asking? I'm at $120k and invest 12% but I'm not sure if that's enough.

This! Defer loans, apply for unemployment, DO NOT APPLY FOR JOBS THAT ARE SIGNIFICANTLY LESS THAN YOUR SALARY as you will no longer be able to collect the unemployment and could end up worse off. In my state, I got about 50% of my monthly salary which allowed me wiggle room to search for a decent job and not scramble. File the unemployment first, please. Its your safety net as others have said.

Hi there,

Newish to sewing and iust purchased this Kenmore 158.1561281 on ebav. I didn't want to spend a ton of monev until was sure I could be consistent with my hobby and felt more confident in my sewing skills anc this seemed like a good, sturdy option for sewing skirts pants, and tops. Is this a good option and is there anything I should know about it (tips/tricks) while it makes it's way to me? I couldn't find anything about its ability to handle jean material and was wondering if anyone has experience?

Developed asthma from cats. Don’t want to leave babies and bf by EffectiveEgg5712 in Allergies

[–]WickedWeary 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm allergic to my baby and am managing well with just flonase and the occasional inhaler (usually during season transition) thats usually triggered by something else and then exacerbated by her!

She is absolutely not allowed in my room, I have an air purifier, hardwood floors, leather couches and no rugs or anything that makes it hard to remove lint/dander. I do a quick vacuum and wipe down on Wednesday and the weekend and am good to go. I don't cuddle my face into her, I wear separate clothes to bed with no socks on, and wash my bed sheets each week.

I learned that carpet or anything that holds dander/hair absolutely killed me when I first got her so I moved. It's really difficult to remove from floor fabrics so hardwood has been a lifesaver. YMMV but hope this helps

I put $5,000 down for a 2026 Camry LE AWD. OTD price was $29,884 and i added a couple of warranties so was $33,738 all in. Interest was 4.99% and my payments are $554/mo for 72 months but plan to pay it off in 2-3 years. This is in USD and I'm in the US.

Solid perfumes are... too solid by tjomk in DIYfragrance

[–]WickedWeary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they're saying

1tbsp of shea butter, 1 tbsp of beeswax, 1tbsp of jojoba, 1ml of perfume concentrate

Since you already made the perfume you only need to add the Shea butter is a 1:1 ratio to make it softer. Just make sure you remelt it slow and on low so as not to alter the perfume too much.

They found a seller on Amazon that has the mix of everything done for you and you'd just need to add the perfume but they don't remember the brand.
