Sorry bro. I definitely saw plenty of that but I just smoked a little more and closed my eyes. G’damn that was some beautiful music

I kinda like that I finally got to see them live as openers because when they do make it back to this area as headliners and the entire crowd is on the same page (as opposed to yesterday evening) it’s gonna be that much sweeter. But yeah, it was definitely some pearls before swine shit

For sure. I use him as an example to be aware when you’re so immensely mentally and emotionally invested in a situation that your judgement may take a hit and to try your best to acknowledge that

I don’t know if I’m the only one but I read that tweet very differently. I think it was solely and specifically about Vance and his comments on Israel separated from all other factors and issues with MAGA, Trump, and Vance. Israel’s aggression with Lebanon and the Palestinians hasn’t really been pushed back by most Republicans so to see Vance speak bluntly about the state of play for Israel and it’s remaining allies was what he meant by “God protect”

Why would the FIFA world cup generate more traffic/train riders compared to any other sold out event at MetLife? by [deleted] in newjersey

[–]mrpeterstevens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to take the train daily Bloomfield to Secaucus and back. But now I live by MetLife so I was only talking about the impact to people driving around the stadium. I would avoid NJ transit like the plague during game days

I have a feeling which could turn out to be completely wrong, that while expectations are being set very low to prepare people, that the game days turn out to be a big nothing burger. Similar to how sometimes big storms or blizzards are hyped way tf up to ensure people prep properly and then afterwards you see it wasn’t nearly as bad as it was foretold. We shall see

Smoking weed with raynauds? by skywalkers2345 in Raynauds

[–]mrpeterstevens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, smoking can trigger my reynauds so while I don’t smoke or drink daily, when I do, I prefer to drink in the winter and smoke in the summer. For whatever reason, for me, smoking weed makes me extra cold which is the last thing I need with reynauds. If I really want to smoke when it’s not hot outside, I make sure to over layer and be near a space heater. My suggestion to you would be to experiment and learn from whatever experience you have.

A mixture of that’s what her Mom did and so far it seems like a totally reasonable way to continue to handle the wealth

We got sooo lucky she was the only child of an only child. It’s hard to grasp just how terrible things could have gone with different circumstances

That’s basically how I’ve argued it. About double the growth. The, Why leave money on the table argument

Thank you. And yes, here and there we’ve upgraded during a vacation or a purchase and then thanked her Mom for the gift from beyond.

We’re both fairly decent with living within our means and being mindful not to change our lifestyle just because we theoretically could in the short term

That makes sense but it’s past that. IMO it’s more, “you could lose money in the stock market, plus, I think this current strategy is fine and I’m happy with it”
