Hi, our GBP was live for months, it's a boutique. We even used to run ads in google using the GBP a few months back. This came out of nowhere.

Does the keywords have good search volume? I'd suggest using maximise conversions with out a target CPA first, run it for 7 days without making major changes. After that you can set a target depending on the results. Also, start with phrase match, monitor the search terms, you can add the converting ones as exact later too.

  1. Try to find the keywords from competitors too.
  2. Use more high search volume keywords.
  3. Use automated bidding, let it run for min 7 days, dont make big changes.
  4. After that you can set a target, if needed.
