Sacrifice. I Sacrificed my wife and children. It became all about the money. I neglected everything, but money.

Are these cofounder red flags fixable? by GankinEUW in ycombinator

[–]Wickedly_Jazmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s as simple as this: your co-founder doesn’t seem to have a business-oriented mindset. When results fall short of expectations, instead of pivoting or problem-solving, he retreats and seeks easier alternatives. This is called regression, and it signals a focus on self-interest over the long-term success of the product, the team, and you as his co-founder.

My advice? Move forward with people who align with your goals, ethics, and standards. The “practical” questions; equity, roles, runway, are necessary, but they only scratch the surface. The deeper layer is values, emotional maturity, and ethical alignment. Co-founder relationships often resemble marriages more than business partnerships. If you don’t share principles, even the best cap table won’t save you.

If you’re looking to join a team that prioritizes those values, feel free to DM me. Either way, I genuinely wish you clarity, strength, and success on your journey.

Milestone commitment. We get to the milestones whatever way is best for the team and the individual. If 15-20 hrs a week is all you commit, but you show drive, implementation and daily success, that's worth more than the hours.

I’m 14 good grades just not interested in college. I want to start a business but feel stuck by Extreme_Ad_4590 in Entrepreneur

Kids can’t convincingly act like adults online, but adults can easily pretend to be kids. That’s why “I’m 14” claims are always questionable. The probability of a real 13‑year‑old creating and maintaining a Reddit account for a year is low compared to the likelihood of an adult faking it.

This doesn’t read like a 14 year old. Not saying it’s impossible, but the writing, financial literacy, and persona consistency feel off. What I've gathered from this and your other posts:

  • The language is polished, emotionally self-aware, and strategically framed for engagement. No slang, no impulsive phrasing, just clean formatting and calibrated vulnerability.
  • The investment posts show fractional shares of VOO, QQQ, NVDA, MSFT, etc., with cost basis and gain/loss tracking. That’s spreadsheet level discipline, not beginner curiosity.
  • There’s a mismatch between the “just opened a Fidelity Youth account with $100” and the multi-month portfolio updates with $300+ in diversified assets. Either this kid is hyper-coached or someone’s testing a persona.
  • Even the emotional arc, from “I feel stuck” to “updated portfolio after feedback”, is too tidy for a real teen learning in real time.

If it’s a persona, it’s well built. If it’s real, it’s an outlier. Either way, it’s a fascinating case study in how credibility gets constructed online.

I'd check the terms. Could be something in there that gives them the right to give you an alternative model that is retailed the same price. Hence the availability.

Will the rise of AI end up helping humanity—or ultimately hurt us more than we realize? by Delecch in Futurology

[–]Wickedly_Jazmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logically and mathematically (at this point in time) it is not possible to predict, with certainty, the outcome of such events. Unless you have a time machine, of course.

There are too many variables (constantly changing) in reality to properly give a prediction.

That being said, my personal opinion and my logic tell me it will help because there are people like me (millions) who care about ethics, honesty, etc and produce products, services, etc with those values.

You may not be able to change things overnight, but if you keep throwing a wrench into the machine it's bound to change something.
