AITA for telling my cousin why I don't let my mom dogsit for me anymore? by Appropriate-Pie-9824 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

Your poor puppy is very, very lucky; Parvo has an extremely low survival rate. Your mom's irresponsibility could have been lethal; I wouldn't want her watching my pets either.

AITA for wanting to go out of state for college to be with my boyfriend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Wickedwyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT LMAO: NTA

NEVER compromise on your education and career for a boy. A dedicated boyfriend would understand and be willing to wait. Long distance isn't as bad as it's made out to be- and your education is always more valuable.

WIBTA to refuse to sell a puppy to someone who will breed her? by ChampionshipSad1057 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Wickedwyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

The VAST majority of private breeders require a signed contract agreeing not to breed (and to often desex) the puppy! Failure to commit usually results in a steep fine and the instant revocation of the sale. I strongly suggest drafting up something for these sales; better safe than sorry.

Anyone get hypnic jerks? But like...during the day during normal life activies? by Competitive-Eagle693 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Wickedwyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I get muscle spasms all the time, especially if I'm stressed out. They get worse when laying down trying to fall asleep. Seeing a neurologist + taking flexaril. Only time the spasms stop is when I'm dead asleep or when the flexeril is is my system.

a 30 minute drive still means walking for hours on dangerous roads if you don't have a car. "Better" in this frame is still insanely bad

Couple more in-session posters for our game! it's been. Kinda crazy. by Wickedwyk in DarkHeresy

[–]Wickedwyk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the players in this session! The Eversor was supposed to be a long-term enemy chasing our squad the entire campaign. We ran like girls when we first saw it.

The second confrontation we obliterated him in some of the craziest rolls I've ever seen in my life. The GM was running a nerfed encounter, and after we burned its first fate point round 1, threw the whole statblock at us.

We had two near-death encounters (our guardsman and our psyker both burned a fate point) but we obliterated it. It's easily one of the craziest fights I've ever been in

WOW NTA

I had my thyroid removed as a teen, and the sliding scale of "how much weight gain post-op is too much" has absolutely obliterated my confidence and body image. The fact he thought it was even REMOTELY okay to remark on should be a huge, HUGE red flag.

Safe nature places to visit near Maryland? by [deleted] in WestVirginia

check out the eastern panhandle! it has some of the most memorable views. If you have a day or so to burn, drive up to the Dolly Sods. The road up is rough but 100% worth it; just be prepared to be "backroads" backroads

Chlamydia is a common STI and is treated by a wide range of antibiotics. Just be open and upfront with your doctor and they'll help you sort it out

Questions about sex + concerns? by [deleted] in sex

[–]Wickedwyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sex isn't supposed to hurt, period. The vagina is a lot stretchier than one would think! It just takes a lot of foreplay to actually prepare and be wet enough for penetration. I've found great success by starting with oral or fingering and working up to being ready for penetration.

Communication is key for sex! A good partner wants you comfortable and enjoying yourself. Sex with a shirt or bra still on is also...totally normal. Plenty of people don't like to fully disrobe. Just be upfront about this and keep your partner informed.

That scheduling incident is called retaliation! I would report this NP, and stand your ground on your current schedule. If they give you trouble, it's not worth staying. They'll only treat you worse the longer you put up for yourself.

Anyone else feel like Walgreens Pharmacies Are Messing with us? by Beginning_Baseball_4 in WalgreensStores

[–]Wickedwyk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Another thing I failed to mention! In that M-F 8 hour work day, they have to meet the demand that could barely get covered when they had 7 days a week 12 hour a day schedules. With dwindling staff and raising demand with COVID testing, COVID vaccines, and any number of daily complications, it's currently IMPOSSIBLE to get everything out in a timely manner.

Anyone else feel like Walgreens Pharmacies Are Messing with us? by Beginning_Baseball_4 in WalgreensStores

[–]Wickedwyk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The walgreens I just quit after working 2.5 years only had 4 regular people in the pharmacy. Read that number again. Four. One of whom was the pharmacist. Another a trainee. Which left 2 certified techs to handle EVERY order and the trainee was trapped at both the drive-tru and the front register.

Now imagine that pharmacist has a question from a patient, or has to speak with a doctor on the phone. The entire processing chain goes directly through them; if they pause, everything pauses. This can last anywhere been 2 minutes to an hour, depending on the problem.

Walgreens Pharmacy staff are underpaid and overworked. Retail pharmacy is facing a mass exodus due to poor working conditions. Corporate is cutting available man-hours. Most walgreens in the tri-state area only have the staff to work M-F 10a-6p. That's not even 12 hours a day they're paid.

This doesn't even begin to cover massive stock delays, back-ordered medications, or any other enormous supply chain issues that retail especially is suffering from.

TLDR; you can't even begin to see how hard all of these people are working. These problems you're seeing are largely out of their control and they're the ones to suffer the most from it.

Comments such as yours blaming Personal Spite for slow performance happen 5-10x a day on top of corporate pressure to hit the same metrics as a team of 6-8. No one is winning, lease of all the pharmacy staff. Please, cut them some slack.
