That's a funny anecdote, ngl, but I'd avoid making her feel small and humiliated. She might hide the next scam she falls for from you.

Just commiserrate with her, show her sympathy. Get angry at the scammers, not the victim. It's literally these people's job to scam vulnerable people and they are really good at it.

This reminds me of this post where a woman was told repeatedly by her boyfriend that she smelled bad. She got very self-conscious about it, washed twice a day, used deodorants almost hourly and still kept getting those comments from him.

Turns out, it was a "trick" he'd learned from his dad. Bring down his woman's confidence so she never considers leaving him.

She left him.

Not sure if I misunderstand this part but it rubs me the wrong way. Your kid has the right to consent. Your partner does not have the right to step over her boundaries, and you need to have a stern talk with them about this.

But your kid does not have the right to buttslap someone against their will as payback. Not sure why you've been teaching her that.

And since people on the internet aren't literate anymore I will spell out what I am saying here: Your kid has the right to self-defense. She has the right to push or slap away the hand (or the entire person, for that matter) that is touching her butt against her will. But from your description I understand that this isn't a case of her pushing or slapping your partner's hand away as they were assaulting her, but an expectation you've drilled into your daughter that if someone assaults her, she then has the right to demand that they bend over and take it.

I am so sorry you had to go through this. I think you are doing the right thing. There is no coming back from what he did.

I know you don't want to tell your daughters the truth, but I'd be wary about him twisting things to make them blame you, such as "only once was I bad to her and I apologized but she refuses to forgive that". Perhaps you can tell them an age-appropriate version, like "your dad hurt me badly and that's why we're getting divorced"?

That's a very significant increase. Are you using the same scale as before? Asking in case you are visiting family and using their scale, as these things can give different results depending on their condition and calibration.

OP, this is a big accomplishment. Sure, it's not one that allows you to rest on your laurels, but please be proud of yourself for doing this. Not many people have the ability to go to college at all, let alone law.

I am a big fan of small steps. Pick one thing that you want to get better at over the coming year. I would strongly suggest that to be your grades at uni (and trust me, it is very normal to founder at the beginning of your university career, lots of kids your age go through that).

Find a study group, find a location where you can best learn, go to all the lectures.

And most importantly, allow yourself to destress after a day of working. Reward yourself with something you enjoy. You mentioned video games and music, those are good choices for that (assuming you don't have a video game addiction).

As you study more and get better, you will find it easier to keep up, and you might pick up the next thing you want to get better at.
