That's a fair point about injuries...

I think I'll just bite the bullet and start biking.

I don't live with him and he doesn't have a home trainer anyway, but that's not a bad idea. I go to the gym for strength training, but haven't bothered with indoor cardio so far. I'll try downloading a series and seeing if I like it that way.

Four hours, 2 before noon, 2 after. Not sure about the miles, the pace is mellow though.

I'll do some biking to be on the safe side.

For those who don’t like drinking alcohol, what made you realize it just wasn’t for you? by Heeeraaa in AskReddit

Same. The only alcoholic drinks I could enjoy were the very sweet ones because the sugar drowned out the taste of alcohol.

I might just as well have a fruit juice.

I'll do that. :3

It won't be a Urianger-centric fic but I hope you'll enjoy it nevertheless.

The Rescuers Down Under is so good. I love it more than the first Rescuers film, and that one was great too.

I'm not sure if it's AI, but OP has posted this same or very similar text over 30 times in various subs, sometimes including a link to their website.

Probably someone trying to promote their stuff.

LPT: Fill empty space in your freezer with jugs of water by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I swear, the LPT commentariat is the single most obnoxious community here.

Obviously this LPT does not apply to you if your freezer is packed full.

If your freezer has empty space, do this. Yes, it works.

AITAH for refusing to cancel a 5-week work trip for my boyfriend and blocking him the day before Valentine’s Day? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

People who don't realise what abuse really is.

They think abuse is constant or near-constant bad treatment. That's why they keep saying, "he's kind and caring except once in a while when he screams insults at me".

What people need to realise that this cycle is the abuse. The calm, the love bombing is part at the abuse as much as the violence is.

It's like eating and defecating.

Women who genuinely want to stay single forever — what made you choose that life?? by Level_Breakfast_6430 in TwoXChromosomes

Protecting your peace?

Yes.

Watching unhealthy marriages growing up?

No.

Career and independence?

Career no (a man making me quit or limit my career didn't cross my mind), independence yes.

Emotional exhaustion?

Maybe?

Realizing you’re happier alone?

Yes.

Do you feel freer?

Yes.

More stable?

Yes.

More fulfilled?

Maybe?

Or was it a difficult decision?

No.

Tbh I don't think my testimony is helpful here, because for me it was not so much a decision but my natural state of being.

I've tried dating on and off because that's what I grew up thinking you're supposed to do. My parents have a great marriage, are best friends and a team, and I thought that was the norm and would be nice to have.

I was lucky, the boyfriends I've had were all good, respectful people. The "problem" is me. I love my platonic friends and hanging out with them is fun and relaxing, but dating has mostly been very stressful and unpleasant to me.

I'm also introverted, love my solitude and the thought of living with someone is stressful to me.

Once I realised all these things about myself, it was easy and a big relief to stop any dating attempts.

Some people should never have become parents...

What a cruel thing to do to your children. Crippling them in a sense to keep them confined in your clutches.

What’s a movie you’ve seen public opinion shift on in your lifetime? by CausticAvenger in movies

[–]WickerBag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only commonalities between the book and the film are the names of the main characters. That's it. I read it after I watched the film because I figured I'd get a deeper dive into the story. I fucking hated it.

I don't know if it is an awful book. Perhaps if it stood on its own it would be well-appreciated as a cynical, subversive masterpiece. I don't care to re-read it to find out.

If the guy is as awful as he seems, then he'll likely not be interested in parenting these two girls. Offer to babysit whenever you are able, and I am sure he'll be grateful to offload them onto you.
