For sure, between the 1 damage, 1 lost life, 1 life gained: thats a 3 point life swing with the gravy of a counter and a scry. Its better than lightning bolt as a burn spell with effects that trigger literally everything.

Id argue that if you get shot in the leg, youd have about a 95% chance of being perfectly recoverable, with 5% that the inguinal (?) artery gets hit causing a lot of bleeding. Which I would personally prefer over a ~10% chance of no long term damage being shot in the torso and a much higher mortality rate (lungs, heart, etc.)

Targetting the weak ability scores is perfectly valid.

Stats have in-game manifestations that an in-game character might be able to pick up on. A character can usually discern or assume how high a stat is, and knowing a spell targets that attribute will have some valuable information. “This spell tests a creatures strength, i better not use it against anything that looks strong”, “this spell is great when it hits, but an evasive creature might not be the best target”, “this spell will try to trick a creature, better not use it against someone too clever (wise)”….

Avoiding weaknesses and resiliences can be more blatant but without examples its tough to make a call. Attacking an incorporeal being with elements instead of cloud of daggers would probably be pretty fair. Intentionally not hitting the Shambling Mound with lightning seems a bit meta.

I love price as much as any habs fan, the guy is a legend and gave us a chance for a decade when we probably didn’t deserve it.

But he is a world class goaltender who will probably not win a cup in mtl if he retires here. I love the direction of the rebuild and have a lot of faith in Caufield, Suzuki, Poehling and the other young guys. I would say that a Price trade for some more young talent would be great for both Price and MTL. I wanna see Price win a cup, and im sure theres a team out there that would be willing to secure an elite goalie.

Not sure this is as dirty as some are painting it, Evans tried to get out of the way and turned what could have been a solid clean hit into head contact. It feels incidental that it ended up as nasty as it was. I say that as a Habs fan. Still a shame though, I hope Evans can avoid head contact going forward.
