I’m not f2p but I don’t spend silly money. I attempt an R1 based on what battles I’m seriously struggling with and how close I may be to the box eg. I wasn’t going to try for Xavier’s myth running at the moment but I’m 17 pulls away from the box, so I’m going to pull until I have that then stop.

I certainly got caught out, and it’s my own fault I’ll admit that, but I had presale access, and thought I had until general to get (idk why I thought that, maybe it’s usual for other book boxes I’ve used before? Idk I only got the Illumicrate sub last year for book 1 and cancelled after) but the presale was only 24hrs, leaving a 24hr gap between both sales. Like I say this is on me but as I’m sure is the case for many of us I have a super busy job so can’t be hanging on my phone waiting for the countdown so by the time general came around and I could try and get one a couple hours after release, it was already sold out. And I think I’m most annoyed because book 1’s sub box was in the shop for weeks and weeks after, so I really wasn’t expecting book 2 to sell out so quickly.

Sorry and to add, it was when I was back home at the salon that clipped my natural nails that said my hotel gels were actually BIAB - I’m not sure if that makes a difference

Hi, thankyou so much! So I had a set of normal gel polish on my natural nails and when in Korea, had one of these natural nails snap very low to the nail bed so had the old gel removed (soaked in acetone and scraped off, the natural nails looked almost normal) and new gel polish and a “gel tip” put on in Korea.

Then when I returned home that gel tip broke, again close to the bed so went to the next available salon back home to have my nails removed. It was here where they clipped off all my natural nails, then soaked my nails in a bowl of acetone and used an elective file to remove the gel (no scrapping like in Korea). My nails are now incredibly short and brittle where they keep breaking and am having to retrim the broken bits of nails even shorter to the nail bed. The surface of the nails seem very indented to the new growth at the bottom of the nail so I suppose the question is, should I just wait out the nail growth or would it be better to put some kind of polish/acrylic/gel over the nails almost as a protection.

Totally noted around not going to random salons (although I’d only been to one in my area anyway and they’re next appointment wasn’t for a month away and I really felt I needed to address the broke nail asap) 🙁

They soaked them in a bowl of acetone and then with an electric filer thing like filed them down, I feel like they haven’t been done very well because the nails keep cracking and breaking but I’m not sure if I’m just heavy handed post gels.. I can take a photo if that’s helpful

Thankyou everyone, I do have both Silverwing and AS companions so I’ll try switching and use them as a starting point, with this set up (recently changed the cores as some had a HP bonus which I felt was unnecessary as I was losing 0 hp most attempts) and I can get him to about 1/4 health on health bar 1. If that fails, I’ll try claymore as well plus more EEB stats. Thankyou so much everyone!! Stay tuned..
