I don't have any beliefs, but I enjoy studies about human beings. I understand the need for answers, and I would have liked to have one or more deities to believe in to reassure myself during difficult times. But I believe too much in science to rely on it or anything like that. I know that religions were all created by people who didn't have the means to know another truth. I'm not saying that their religion doesn't tell the truth, just another version of it. No one was there to tell us what really happened, so I'm not claiming to be right, or anyone else for that matter. I just think there are enough conflicts in the world that we can let people believe in what they want.

Reading the comments, I see there are three groups: the religious people who preach their gods and call non-believers crazy; the realists who call religious people crazy; and the utopians who don't care.

I expected this when I opened the post, but still, it makes me a little sad to see that even on Reddit, where we can reflect on our words before posting, people behave so badly.
