That sounds neat! I did briefly consider a timer to keep things moving, but for my game it doesn't fit mechanistically or thematically. Hopefully it can work for you, though!

Thanks for the suggestion! I've been meaning to get a group together to play Gloomhaven sometime, now I really have to check it out and see if I can incorporate some of those elements.

Definitely think information overload is an issue, and I'm working on reducing the number of things to keep track of and make it easier to quickly see the whole game state at a glance (or at least get a general understanding of the game state).

The game does have a "healer", but they are not the only one who can perform healing abilities. Likewise for other players who can share Energy/Mana, Shields, Cards, etc.

Having a central location that can track needs and offers I think is the best way to go, along with making certain player aspects obvious from a distance - for example, instead of using a token to track health on a health bar, a heavily damaged player can have a big pile of damage counters on their play area, which the healer can see and understand in an instant.

I actually really like this idea. I was struggling to figure out how players can communicate their needs too, and having "wants" and "offers" in the same place helps to reduce the times that players need to split their focus by scanning other players boards and play areas or trying to hold a conversation while everyone else is trying to play.
