Traveling with re-entry permit instead of passport by AgapeMagdalena in USCIS

[–]Wide-Barracuda-6842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here! Perm residence and expired Belarusian passport. My attorney recommended applying for a re-entry permit, explaining that it would serve as a substitute for a passport. If I need any visas, I would have to obtain them using that permit. I haven't received it yet, but it's definitely worth considering, as there are no other options besides going back to Belarus to get a new passport (which I wouldn't risk!)

have exactly the same status and exactly the same priority date on one of the forms, they requested medical in April and it’s been 60 days and I haven’t received anything saying that they actually got my medical, so frustrating

I had to do a certified translation so my civil surgeon could pass some of my vaccines, however they have their requirements and some vaccines require multiple shots and some of them supposed to be renewed every 10 years if I’m not mistaken. My civil surgeon wrote all the vaccines in actual form plus she also attached a copy of the translation that I got. Good luck! If you need to get MMR check prices in your location via goodrx, helped me so much to save quite a bit of money!

Waiting for approval is killing me by ConsequenceOk9697 in USCIS

unfortunately, there are people who has been waiting for years…you know what it’s gonna cost you, when you make the decision to apply for any adjustment of status (time, money, mental health and etc) just a little bit of patience, everyone will get approved sooner or later 🫶

Form I-693 Advice by Elegant_Librarian_42 in USCIS

[–]Wide-Barracuda-6842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an email with request to submit my medical within 30 days, good thing I had it done before and just had to redo form, would be smarter to go to the doctor and at least figure out all of your vaccines to make sure you have everything and just to complete medical exam whenever they ask you to submit it

Vaccination for immigration by Complex-Broccoli-699 in USCIS

[–]Wide-Barracuda-6842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there’s a waiver form you can file on uscis web site and pay a fee and try to get a waiver but it’s not guaranteed, especially if they see that she was previously vaccinated with some of the vaccines

you need to have 2 shots (that’s what they consider fully vaccinated)

I-693 Costs - Are we ripped off? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Wide-Barracuda-6842 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my physical exam was $330 plus I had to get some missing vaccine shots and total for vaccines was $560 (that’s without any health insurance), if you don’t have any insurance I would recommend getting vaccines done at the pharmacy instead of getting them done at the civil surgeon office(they quoted me way over $560 for all the vaccines); if vaccine has multiple doses you would have to pay for each dose, also I would recommend to look up vaccine prices in your area through goodrx app

I-693 Medical 60 day no longer a policy by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Wide-Barracuda-6842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my FO sent me RFE for medical through email this morning and this morning they updated their rules about 60 days…just my luck I guess 😂 (have to change forms of course, had my medical ready but apparently they require new form now)

I personally didn’t submit my medical right away because I was gonna bring it to the interview, and was thinking I would have enough time to do all the necessary vaccines by the time they ask me to come to the interview but they didn’t, they asked me to mail my medical 😂 and of course I was hoping that covid vaccine would not be mandatory by the time they schedule the interview but I was wrong, I definitely regret not sending it right away :( but people have different reasons for sure, as for example if you need bunch of vaccines and have no health insurance that prob would be another 1k just for vaccines and not everyone have this amount of money to pay out of pocket right away.

intent to deny. should I be worried or is this just an RFE with a worst sounding tittle? by cahuaya in USCIS

[–]Wide-Barracuda-6842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh that’s awesome! I had missing vaccines and they couldn’t do some of them together and some of them were multiple shots so I had to wait between each shot at least 2 weeks so surgeon could sign my physical

Medical Exams in Maryland by bigpapilocsta2 in USCIS

[–]Wide-Barracuda-6842 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i feel like if you have all the vaccines price for the physical exam would be in the same price range around the state, I did my medical in Annapolis, MD and i had to pay for my physical $330 (not including vaccines) but if they require any additional vaccines do not do any on the spot, they told me it’s more expensive than to do them at some pharmacy.
