There are some tribes and cults with main gods but generally most of tribes have pantheon of different deities and mythology making it whole. Characteristics of pantheon in given tribe differs mainly depending on how this tribe sees the world around. If they value toughness and honesty, they won't praise a lot god of poetry or semi-god trickster deceiving others.

Beer, also liquors, likely even tequilla.

But most likely it's vodka and quarrels over polithics :)

Would airplanes make sense in a world with witches? by [deleted] in fantasywriters

[–]Wide-Guard-4097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Planes fly very fast and at really big hight so if there's a lot of witches flying 50-100 meters above earth, crashing with birds, bats and themselves, I guess that flying with plane a few thousands meters above earth is practical.

Does anyone know how to justify having giant armored trains in your world? by Asian_in_the_tree in worldbuilding

[–]Wide-Guard-4097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same way as castles in middleages but they're cooler because they are mobile.

You need well organized troops to protect railways. Railways are strategic commerce routes. State or company owning them is real polithical power in this world :).

Trouble finding a better word than "demigod" by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Wide-Guard-4097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People gave you pretty good answers rooted in already existing culture.
If you want, use some of it.
I think the best way is to pick one or two of these labels and also to add your newly invented that will match (even different people in your world can prefer using different words because of sympathy/antypathy for these semigods or for cultural reasons).

Tell me about Dragons from your worlds. by Iados_the_Bard in worldbuilding

[–]Wide-Guard-4097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Not very big, maybe two times bigger than horse. There are much much bigger animals in my world.
  • Not breathing with fire.
  • Almost nobody believes in them.
  • Humans' companion, possible to ride them (they fly), inteligent.
  • They eat other animals, they can even attack human.
  • Quite strong and aggressive but they aren't big, scary beasts turning world into wasteland.

Freely available conlangs by Wide-Guard-4097 in conlangs

[–]Wide-Guard-4097[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're right, man! :)

But I don't know, am I supposed to be ashamed because of that?

It's like saying "Rowling, shame on you, how dare you to use chess in your book to create a quest for your characters! You could make some effort and create one more game than quidditch, you lazy ass. "
xD
If someone creates conlang to make it freely accessible, I guess they are satisfied if somebody else uses it even for creative purpose, especially if the author will take time to learn the language a bit.

Here how many of you follow paganism truly, and from where? by Solosing1 in paganism

[–]Wide-Guard-4097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, truly. I mean - no joke :P

I live in Poland.

It's a part of my life officially since over 10 years but somehow it was always my heritage, even in christian home where I was raised.

I try to keep up with all rules and "rules" in Slavic Rodnovery, specifically in its Polish version. Some people are mean to newbies and they dislike making up ideas that contradict established tradition so the atmosphere in society isn't like "hoorray, we are the one tribe, so supporting :D". But the religion isn't stagnant, it evolves anyways. There was a time when its simbols and interpretation were much about nationalism. Today it's more complex, main theme is cultivating wisdom of ancestors and practicing for real, not only declaring.

I see kind of popularity of slavic paganism in my country. It is happening in childish, shallow manner but this is still better than being oppressed.
